I came to this restaurant specifically for the Puerto Rican menu and I tried the Monfongo with butter garlic shrimp and a Tripleta combo. It was one of the best Monfongos I've had in a long time, made to order and moist with a delicious garlic and pork skin flavor. I usually add sauce caldito to my Monfongo, but this one didn't need it. The Tripleta was also moist and delicious, everything was made to order and worth it. We will definitely be returning. I hope this restaurant continues to succeed, as I will be a repeat customer. People who enjoy this restaurant all seem to like the Puerto Rican food, but in reality, this is a wings and things establishment. The woman at the front is pleasant until you attempt to redeem the free lunch entree they have been advertising. I do not recommend dining here due to their exorbitant prices and consistently overcooked chicken. Additionally, they are quite a nuisance to the local community. The woman working behind the counter should brush up on her manners and communication skills with loyal customers. I have no intention of returning to this establishment. I wish I could give it a negative rating. Shame on you.
The service at this restaurant was extremely slow. It took 30 minutes to receive my food even though there were only two people ahead of me. I had to tell the cashier multiple times what I wanted, but they still got my order wrong. To top it off, I was overcharged for the mistake. I do not recommend wasting your time or money at this establishment.
This is the only restaurant in town where you can find authentic Puerto Rican mofongo made with plantains! I highly recommend calling ahead to place your order for quicker service. While it's not fast food, the delicious mofongo is definitely worth the wait.
