On a gloomy Saturday morning in the fall, my girlfriend and I took my car to Pep Boys for an oil change. After being given limited information about the wait time, we decided to find some food. On the way, my girlfriend spotted a restaurant and we followed the irresistible aroma to a hidden gem among auto body shops. We ordered stewed pork with peas and rice, along with a side of yuca. The portions were huge and the flavors were amazing. If you can find this place, you won't be let down.
Awful experience!! The wait times were too long, prices were too high, and the food was extremely disappointing. Beware of additional tip charges being included on the bill without warning - I ended up leaving nearly $100.00 in tip unknowingly. Very dishonest practices. The only positives were the maracuya juice and the lemonade. Will not be returning.
I ordered pepper steak with white rice and plantains. The beef was chewy and dry, and the plantains were limp and not fresh. Normally I like their food, but this time it wasn't up to par. I also got a side salad with red onions, but they included cooked onions which made the salad soggy. I was disappointed with my experience this time.
I placed an order at this restaurant today, but it was missing 2 sodas and a side of beans. I was shocked by this mistake and even more disappointed by their response, blaming it on the driver. Uber also refused to contact the driver. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
I had a fantastic experience with Combo #9 at this restaurant, it tasted really authentic! The morir soñando was a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but still delicious. I would definitely order it again.
I ordered the Large Roast Pork Lunch Special. The meat was perfectly seasoned, along with the rice, and was juicy without being dry.
The service could be improved, as when you call, they put you on hold for a long time. However, the food is delicious.
This restaurant consistently serves fresh and flavorful food. The only downside was that my empanada was overly oily.
