WOW! We haven 't eaten Dim Sum here in a few years, we have another go to spot but decided to give it a try. So pleasantly surprised. We were seated in less that five minutes and the carts were already coming around. The steam carts had all of our favorites, pork ribs, chicken feet (for the hubs) sui mai, shrimp dumplings, chicken and sticky rice in lotus leaf. It all tasted fresh and the carts were immediately refilled so no one in the place had to wait like at some other Dim Sum places. The woman at the front desk as well as the waitress were so so so accommodating. We had a toddler with us and they went above and beyond to make sure he (and the parents and family) were comfortable and taken care of. They definitely went above and beyond and I will always keep this in mind. On a separate note; the food is always PHENOMENAL! There is a reason there is always a long wait for dimsum! Everything is fresh, well prepared, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! I have never had a bad dish! Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is.
I visited Far East Restaurant for the first time on Friday evening after passing by many times and thinking I should give it a try. I'm really glad I did. The service was excellent, with both servers being friendly and well-informed. We were greeted with a full pot of warm, delicious oolong tea. For dinner, we enjoyed the Szechuan bean curd along with two other off-menu dishes. Everything was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back to try the dim sum, which I've heard is the most authentic in the DMV area!
This is a take out experience. First time ordering from here and they are take out only at the time 6/20. I called to order orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and beef fried rice. The one taking my order asked to clarify if I wanted thick pieces of orangepieces and recommended for me to get the general TSO chicken. She said their orange chicken is a different style-thank God shetold me. The food was really good. Maybe more than normal but it was really good, better than Panda Express. Highly recommend

Currently take out only, but the food is worth it! We were in from out of town and they were kind enough to allow us to walk in and order. The orange chicken is delicious, not crazy sweet like some places and good heat. The crab meat wontons are actualcrab and I was very excited to find sesame balls again. I wish we lived nearby, we would definitely order often! Wonderfulpeople.
Great service and delicious dimsum! I wasn’t a fan of the dim sum scene in Rockville until we tried Far East! The food here is super tasty and the service is surprisingly good! Every one is super friendly and quick. It’s our new go-to spot for dim sum on the weekends!
If you enjoy Chinese snacks, this is an outstanding place to visit. The decor is lovely and filled with intricate details. The staff is friendly, the establishment is clean, and the flavors are truly exceptional. I highly recommend it!
They do great versions of the old standards that aren’t as greasy or over sweet as many of their competitors. The portions are generous. Their specials are worth trying. Their pandemic protocols are first rate.
