"This is a straightforward, no-frills restaurant. You would expect a basic burger to be easy to prepare, but mine was overcooked and dry. The place was empty on a Saturday evening, which was surprising. I found it a bit pricey for what it offered. The lemonade was just okay. Overall, I don’t really see the appeal of this place."

I live just five minutes away and have driven past this spot countless times over the past six years without giving it much thought—until today. Farm Cafe is a charming little farm stand with outdoor seating, though we didn’t sit outside since it was only 37 degrees. We ordered at the counter: two cheeseburgers with bacon, fries, onion rings, split pea soup, two Boylan sodas, and two burnt chocolate chip cookies. The burgers were hearty, flavorful, and fresh. The fries and onion rings were outstanding! The soup was decent but nothing extraordinary—though with so much good food, it hardly mattered. As for the cookies, they were purposefully burnt. As a bakery owner, I found that hard to beli...

Their large signs outside advertise an Angus burger, but what I received was far from a homemade burger; it was simply a meat patty on a challah roll. That was mistake number two. The lemonade lacked flavor, and the prices were exorbitant. A mini pie costs $9.95, while exceptional bakeries like Le Gateau Suisse or The Riviera Bakehouse serve regular-sized pies that are twice the height, delicious, and priced under $20. The pie I was given appeared undercooked and lacked a milk or egg wash for a proper finish. Additionally, the toppings on my burger and the meager 1/4 cup of pork on the pulled pork sandwich were quite disappointing for close to $9. This brings us to mistakes three and four....

My wife and I finally made time to visit Farm Cafe. The food is simple but genuinely delicious, seemingly made with local ingredients—maybe even some they grow themselves. The burger was straightforward yet easily one of the best I've had in a long time. I especially loved the bun, which was perfectly soft and almost reminded me of challah bread. My wife had the grilled cheese with tomatoes and bacon, and the meal overall was fantastic, offering a relaxed, casual dining experience. It was an ideal spot for a weekend lunch! I’m definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast.

Farm Cafe serves mouthwatering local dishes! The farm burger is a must-try—you'll be craving it again in no time. Their menu also features local eggs, pies, honey, homemade soups, cookies, classic sodas, and seasonal treats like fresh-picked flowers and pumpkins. This charming small business offers something for everyone and truly deserves your support. Plus, after dining, you can enjoy feeding the chickens out back, making it a perfect spot for a family outing. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
