As we entered the restaurant, I was disappointed to see that they have a sign proclaiming that “since nobody wants to work because of handouts”, they were short staffed. Okay, we were already there, so I chose to ignore the sign and we were seated at our table. Next, they have a snarky message on their menu explaining that they apply a 4% service charge to credit cards and this is the price you need to pay “for using the credit card to earn miles and points.” I want to be very clear that I have no problem with a service charge when using a credit card; it was the condescending message on the menu that left a bad taste in my mouth. This restaurant has been a long-time favorite, offering a variety of specials alongside classic favorites. I appreciate the charming old-fashioned wooden bar and the “library room” adorned with books. The food is absolutely perfect; every meal we've had here has been delicious. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and I highly recommend the crispy sweet and sour Brussels sprouts—they're incredible! The wine selection is top-notch, and the glasses are generously sized. The service is consistently wonderful, earning this place a solid 5 stars from me!
I had the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious. It could of been a little larger. It came with a side salad that was only mixed greens, nothing else. The service was good until the end, the server made my wife feel uncomfortable, and hounded her for payment. Not sure if we will be back.
We enjoyed some delicious cappuccinos and desserts during our visit. Everything was excellent, and they offered gluten-free dessert options, which can be hard to come by. This restaurant has really declined. I visited for the first time a few years ago, before Covid, and the food was excellent. However, I’ve been back twice since then, and the food has not lived up to my previous experience.
The food here is amazing! The staff was unbelievably sweet aswell as the owner of the restaurant. They know how to treat customers even when they are extremely busy! Love, love this restaurant!
