We've eaten here plenty of times and the food is delicious!! I asked for the sticky beef chilli salad even though its not yet back on the menu, the chef was happy to do this for me, it's the best sticky beef salad I've eaten. Its the reason I come to the farmers arms. My hubby had the turkey dinner which had plenty of meat and he couldn't fault it. The service is always 5 star, the chef cooks lovely food. All credit to everyone who works here from the servers to the management and chefs!! Would recommend the farmers to anyone who wants great food and service.
Nothing has changed since my review last September. We ordered Tapas hoping for a treat. The sausages and chicken wings looked as if they hadn’t been cooked! Very pale beige and tasteless. We visit here a lot for a drink but the chances of eating here again are very slim. There is a lot of competition for food on park lane and this place could be buzzing. But sadly not.
Visiting the area and brought my MIL for an early dinner at the Farmers on the 1st December. We had a lovely experience, staff were excellent and the food was delicious, very enjoyable experience. Impressive menu and tempted to go back again before I leave to try the Christmas menu.
How can a pub like this be in such a rural lovely village and not let dogs inside (not even at the bar), this is ridiculous!! Everywhere else lets them, very poor from the 1 pub in the village, wont be returning again.

This pub used to be top notch but the food is poor and service very hit and miss. We went for Sunday lunch and the beef was chewy, vegetables were sparse and other menu options not available. Please sort this out!
Went for Sunday lunch, really fresh Calamari to start, followed by Beef Wellington, washed down with a few glasses of french wine. Wow what a lovely meal, fine dining in Poynton, well done the Farmers Arms
I went with friends for lunch. We were kept waiting for what I considered to be far too long at the 'please wait here to be seated ' sign but once we were in the service was excellent.
Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. The garlic bread was delicious, as were all our mains. We had pies, pizza, fish and chips and plaice and everything was lovely.

Visited last Sunday for a roast amazing food, great services, great drinks and the best ever chunky chips! Lovely decor.and won't hesitate to visit again
Attended at pub for lunch today. The service was very good. I had a mixed grill and my wife had fish n chips. Both meals were superb.
