Use this shop often and never had a problem. Today I went in and was served by a young man who was clearing dirty dishes from a table took them out the back and came straight out to serve me. Didn't wash his hands or use gloves or the plastic wrap to get the sausages I wanted. He also didn't put any wrap on the scales or clean them just put the sausages straight on to it then wrapped them and put them in a bag. This has never happened before produce have always been handled n a wrap. I have worked with food and have food handling certificate. I know these products will be cooked but still feel basic food handling should be in practice at all times. I called the number I found on the website...
Me and my mum came in and just got a drink and a sausage roll. We got served by a new girl and to be honest when she spoke to us it was so blunt and with a horrible attitude it made me feel really uncomfortable, she didn’t give off any friendly vibes and a horrible atmosphere. I sat down and she brought the drink over and I waited a couple of minutes and she had forgotten to give me the sausage roll. It wasn’t that she forgot it was the way she made me feel whilst being served, there was no smile no nothing it was just such a monotone attitude and extremely blunt. My girlfriend and I had been walking around the city center for several hours before deciding to stop for a meal. By 3pm, many restaurants had closed for the lunch/dinner break and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a fancy sandwich at a cafe. This deli caught my attention because they had a variety of different hams and pies that were nicely displayed. They also had sausage rolls, but the hot ones were located towards the back of the shop. It is rare for me to have a food smile, but it usually happens when I enjoy simple, well-made food. This was my first time in Gloucester, and I was searching for a local coffee shop with homemade cakes. I had trouble finding a recommended one online that was open, so I decided to stop by this place. I was tempted to try the homemade sausage roll, scotch egg, and chocolate tiffin, which we shared. All of them tasted fabulous.

Excellent staff who really know what they are doing, combining wit, great local produce (superb local bacon sausages) making this a relaxing mid morning break. Very enjoyable bacon baguette with cranberry sauce and brie. This explains just why the Farmhouse is ever popular with Gloucester folk.
Spur of the moment decision to grab lunch at the Southgate St Cafe. Ordered Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Paninis. Some of the best we've had. Good service and pleasant helpful staff. Great place for homemade pies and sausages and doing a good takeaway trade.
This place is superb. Had a really tasty breakfast here and the quality of the products is impressive. Would love to have tried the homemade sausage rolls they looked so good, but diet wouldn't allow me to this time !
Went in for a Bacon sandwich that was way overpriced at £6.60 what a complete rip off and on top of it all it tasted awful. Unless you want to be completely ripped off avoid at all costs.

Lovely staff lovey food would recommend we also brought some sausages as its all handmade.. Good value for money to. Go and visit you wont be disappointed
