Our first meal in the fine dining room at the Farmhouse Inn since they reopened was a mixed bag. The dining room was lovely and comfortable, the greeting and serving staff were excellent and some dishes in the six course tasting meal were very good. In particular the fish courses (black bass and a sea bass course for my pescatarian other) were outsanding. The quail appetizer was excellent. Desserts were good. But the abalone course was a bit mystifying two tiny shreds of rubbery meat in a giant shell with what we were told (but could not verify) was a bit of caviar might have made an amuse but as a course fell short. We have always loved The Farmhouse. This visit, however, was very disappointing. Due to a change in seating times, the usually festive dining room was completely empty when we arrived. As the evening progressed, only two other parties were seated. The personal service was , as always, warm, professional and friendly. The “Prix Fixe” dinner menu was elegantly and beautifully served. Unfortunately, each course seemed less about the dining enjoyment of the guests, and much more focused on promoting the artistry of the chef. This was my first visit to the restaurant since the new chef took over, and I was very impressed with the quality and variety of the food. The flavors were unique, and most of the dishes were truly remarkable. However, the dining experience was quite lengthy, with long waits between courses (sometimes 20-25 minutes), which can be challenging when you're enjoying a seven-course tasting menu. The service was somewhat inconsistent, but overall, it was pleasant and friendly. It would have been an exceptional meal if it hadn't stretched to nearly three hours.
We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. Wonderful experience. Definitely a vrry upscale dining experience. The staff was absolutely fantastic!! The food was delicious and presented with great artistry. This is definitely dining. The ambiance was festive and quiet enough so that we could comfortably enjoy our conversation. Thanks to everyone who made our evening unforgettable.

The service was superb. E sry p!are that we received was described with great detail. My husband and I ordered from both sides of the menu at the suggestion of our waiter so that we could share dishes. Each dish was delightful. High quality, local ingredients. The quail was amazing. Actually, it all was pretty amazing. The lemon dessert i think is the best dessert I have ever had.
We celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant and opted for the fixed 7-course menu with wine pairing. Every dish was exquisite, making it one of the best meals and dining experiences we've ever enjoyed. The staff and service were exceptional. While it isn't cheap, we felt it was absolutely worth the price!
We had a wonderful experience. The service was attentive and excellent. The Somme was incredibly helpful and gave us a great experience with trying wines and discussing them. The food was beautifully displayed and delicious. This was so lovely, thank you!

I was underwhelmed by my experience at the restaurant. The price didn’t match the quality of the food, which was disappointing. However, the service was excellent.
