On the advice of a few friends I made the trip to Fasty's today. Had rib, sausage and pork. Ribs were the best I ever had. Better then the ribs I had at John Mull's Road Kill Cafe in Vegas, and, I admit, better then mine. You don't need a sauce, perfect bite, excellent smokey taste, but not to surpass. Sausage was top notch, embarrassing, but not excessive. Pulled pork was very delicate, I did not get any of the bark, so I could not really get the taste of the rub, but the sauce woke it up and it was very good. The sausage was great. It had a lot of taste without all spices. The tritip and pulled pig were very delicate with a light smokey taste. I shared a three-meat sandwich with my adult son and was full after that. It was so big that we had to use a fork and a knife! Prices are very affordable as the largest and most expensive sandwich is just over $10 and the most expensive is about $7. They had a great lunch for $7 or $8, which included a pulled pork sandwich, side and drink.
This is the best BBQ place in town! While there’s another spot called the House of Beef, the meat there is really tough. The tri-tip here is fantastic—tender and always has a great smoke ring. The service is excellent, and the woman at the front is incredibly beautiful and welcoming. They never skimp on the meat, and I just can't resist coming back. Oakdale really needed a place like this! We had of first experience...finally! Hubs had the tri-tip sandwich with pickles and onions, I had the meat plate with brisket and pinto beans and all I can say is YUM!!!!!!! We were soo stuffed but couldn’t let the last little bits go to waste. Even our 17 month old was chowing down! Great service, great sauce, great food! We cannot wait to go back!!! This is true blue no bs bbq. Every time we come by, we have to stop. The ribs are phenomenal and the sausage is also fantastic. We just tried everything and you really can't go wrong. The owner is also a super friendly guy. I can't recommend this place enough. Life is too short for bad bbq.
We made it a must-stop on our drive up the 108! The owner was generous enough to give us some leftover brisket and provided water for our husky. She absolutely loved it! The whole family is a fan. Thank you, Fasty's!
This restaurant is fantastic! The brisket was perfect—great char, incredibly moist, and the flavor is something you have to experience for yourself. I will definitely be coming back!
