We had an excellent dinner (in a group of forty people) in this farm inn, spacious, decorated soberly but with good taste (reproductions of maps and old photos). We have been delighted with a peasant salad (green salt, hard egg, tomato and above all excellent smoky bacon that had nothing industrial) and then the swine shrew with the sublime scavenger (sums of terracotta with onions and a bit of lard, according to a cooking that makes them nice desserts to melt just a little regret: a very ordinary rib of the rag accompanied this menu injure to the small Vosges and Alsatian wines. a good address not far from the city center of gérardmer if you want to eat real kitchen (plutot than a bad restaurant with gable on the street). You can have lunch by booking before. variable choices depending on the day. today 3 different entries, two dishes and 4 desserts. The price is honest (24th per adult) but not given either if the drinks are added. But if you're a good eater, it's worth the shot, given the portions you're served! the spotlight is for me the children's welcome and the games at their disposal and the kindness of the hoods.
What a great time with friends. the kitchen is delicious, especially potato rapes. From the entrance to the dessert everything is excellent and simple as a real grandmother's cuisine. the sparkling waitress is a love of kindness and efficiency. as we hesitated on the choice of dishes she offered us a formula that allowed everyone to taste everything. having not booked, we went there for 12h to 4. We were able to have lunch of fresh products. very well cooked, copied and local specialties. very pleasant reception, prices more than correct. I think it's best to book in summer.
