Nelson Richmond Hill: This Italian restaurant is hidden in a supermarket strip mall which is too bad because it's pretty good. I had the prix-Fixe menu $23.95) which started withe the Ferrovia Caesar, romaine hearts, crispy pancetta, Parmigiano herb croutons and a grainy mustard and roast garlic dressing. The cheese was really salty, but I appreciated the conservative amount of dressing used as a Caesar salad drowning in dressing is a big pet peeve of mine. Came here after searching for the best rated Italian restaurant nearby for a celebration occasion and glad I stumbled upon Ferrovia. The ambience and atmosphere were pleasant and the service was excellent. I ordered our entrees based on recommendations from reviews.Bruschetta appetizer was good but would probably order something a little more exciting next time.The pappardelle was yummy!! It was creamy and the pasta was al dente. The mushrooms were savoury which added to the sauce.The beef short rib was also a great entree. Super tender. The mashed potato could have been a bit more seasoned but I thought it might be because the main can add saltiness to the potatoes.Overall a very satisfying...

What an outstanding experience. We went to celebrate my son's birthday. The service and food were exceptional! I had a mushroom pasta dish which was creamy and delicious. My son had the short ribs which were tasty and melted in your mouth. My husband had the veal marsala which was so tender and amazing. It doesn't matter what you order, all the food is carefully prepared and outstanding! Severs are friendly and attentive. Kevin deserves special mention as being in charge and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Highly recommended!

Fantasic Ferrovia. I've been coming to this restaurant since 2005. On the recommendation of my future brother in law and wife, I went with my then fiance and have been going back there since. They have gorgeous decor, service is efficient and friendly. Food is awesome, I have never had any comlaint. Brought friends, colleagues and family members. Try the Fixed Prix Menu that is offered on Sunday and Monday evenings! Delightful!

A really traditional family restaurant with great services. Saw this restaurant on urban spoon app and decided to go here with gf for our anniversary. We order steamed PEI mussels for appetizer and the veal picata and it tasted great! My gf isn't a great fan of tomatoes, but she loved the spicy tomatoes sauce on the mussels. We had to ask for more bread to dip the sauce with. Overall a very nice environment and great food!

Ferrovia hosts a prix fixe menu on Sunday and Monday nights during dinner. ... It really was a great deal to get three courses of food for the one of what a regular entrée usually costs $23.95). For this reason, I ended up splurging a bit and ordered a martini as well.

Was here awhile ago, had the braised lamb shank. Very tender and moist. Good for uptown quality. Prices are a little high. Worth a try for variety. <br/ <br/ RM

Food is great, Service is excellent, and price is kind. Ever menu is worth trying, but I like Seafood Linguine most. Strongly recommend this restaurant.
