We stopped on Sunday morning and the café wasn't busy. The Barista we ordered was very friendly, seemed to enjoy her job, and made some good suggestions for breakfast. We ordered cappuccinos, biscuit sandwich and French toast from sugar croissant pastries. The sandwich and the drinks were delicious. The French toast was quite the best I've eaten for a long time. It was fabulous!! We stopped and bought pastries on the way, which were also delicious. We will definitely come back!
I've eaten with the owner Shelby Kibler today. Such great people and a really cool room... it's like a walk in a piece of art; the sights, sounds, smells, taste it is a full sensory experience. I have made the Jive Turkey with Gouda and apples on their house bread... very good, definitely recommend! I also have a hot cup of coffee... I usually don't drink my coffee black, but it smelled and tasted as good as a shame to ruin it with cream and sugar.
Amazing bread and very fresh ingredients. I really love the vegan options, especially the tofu sandwich. The flavors of the seasoned tofu, mushrooms, and sauce work so well together! Definitely one of my favorite sandwiches in GR. They also support their community by selling local art and other goods. Highly recommend this spot, for vegan food and for everyone else too
This place has a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I tried several lunch items, along with a cappuccino and some pastries, and everything was superb. I absolutely adore this place! The food is incredible—Marco's French pastries are simply irresistible, and the bread is the best I've tasted, at least in Michigan! The service is outstanding as well, with the staff being wonderfully nice, helpful, and friendly!
The food here is like a cross between the comfort of grandma 's home cooking and the explosion of the grand finale fireworks on the 4th of July (explosive). The kitchen staff pay attention to detail with precision! This is one of the wonders of Grand Rapids .
