Wow! After a long 5-mile walk, we were tired and thirsty, so we settled at a table and ordered a feast—and what a meal it turned out to be! (Though crashing into a beer and pizza place after a long walk is a story for another day.) But for our Friday evening, the beer and pizza did not disappoint! The Castleford beer was light and bubbly, while the Rainbow Parfait offered a perfectly fruity balance to the acidic ale. We also enjoyed the furnace-baked wings and Shishito peppers (with delicious smoked salt). I visited this restaurant with my friends for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, and their offerings are quite unique. The chai is particularly famous here, especially when prepared by the owner, Gunjan. Unfortunately, Gunjan wasn't available that day, but the staff did a great job making the chai. We ordered chai along with some appetizers to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the staff was incredibly friendly, even serving us chocolate paired with wine. It's a unique concept that you definitely need to try! I also loved the restaurant's interior design.
My favorite!!! The best staff and by far the best brews in the area. Fieldwork does NOT disappoint. Bring your appetite if you're hungry though because a large pizza is about all they have for food (well, they have hummus, a Caesar salad, and goat cheese with baked pizza dough [so, pizza, right? . But really, food isn't the draw, their phenomenal beers are. And did I mention their staff is awesome sauce? They rock. Stop by when in San Ramon and you won't be disappointed. I always leave happy and smiling!
Fantastic restaurant with delicious food and excellent service! The staff was attentive and regularly checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory. The beer selection is impressive. We sampled their flight menu, which was a great idea. We enjoyed the Hail Mary Pizza, while the kids opted for the pepperoni pizza. Overall, we had a wonderful experience! Best brewery in the Bay Area! The San Ramon location lacks a bit of the character of other locations around the Bay, but still delivers a solid experience and tons of seating options. Pizzas are great, beer is always fresh.
Wonderful beer, great atmosphere, cool outdoor patio. The location is great in San Ramon. I have never had a bad beer from Feildwork. The hardest part of the visit is deciding what to try.
