Brought my mom here after shopping around. She’s already asking when we can go back We sat at the bar because it was Friday evening and every table was taken. I actually prefer bar sitting so it worked out perfectly. The pasta is mind blowing and the sausage appetizer was also really good!!! Bartenders were friendly and prompt. The host also charged my phone when it died. I cannot wait to come back, even hungrier next time haha
Our experience was wonderful. I requested a table away from the door which they did accommodate. Service was prompt. They did put in the wrong meal for one person in our party but fixed it as fast as they could. The only thing I would change is allowing those who arrive from the group on time to get seated right away instead of having to wait for everyone else to arrive. A very nice experience. We will be back.
Filomena Ristorante is by far the most authentic Italian restaurant in the area! The ambiance is of an Italian home down to the lace place settings. There are so many original recipe dishes! Everything thing is made fresh daily to include the pasta and sauces. Their Sunday sauce is definitely a must have at your meal. We have finally found an Italian restaurant that meets our expectations in every way!
Went here (finally) for a friend' birthday and the experience was great. We had the specialty shrimp appetizer- impeccable, delicious, great quality, the arugula salad- the passion fruit dressing is to die for, the lobster shrimp pizza- yum yum yum and the seafood linguine which was very tasty. This restaurant was amazing! Some of the best Italian I've had. Ordered Chicken Piccata. Vegetables fresh and well seasoned. Had Dark chocolat mousse for dessert. It was scrumptious! Portions llarge enough to enjoy the next night. Decorations for Halloween were superb. I learned it took 3 people 15 days to complete them!
The food is always amazing. The pasta mama is always so friendly, the decor is always beautifully done. I got a chance to overhear another server telling first timers about the family history of the restaurant/traditions/decor/processes and it made my love of Filomena Ristorante grow ten fold.
Delicious food. Kind and courteous staff. Generous portions. Only complaint is that there may need to be a bit more cleaning done near the ceilings and higher up lights; we had a fly or two fall onto the table.
Always the best service, the best food, the best atmosphere. It's tight, but I've been there over a dozen times in 3 decades and it is still the best all round eatery/experience in DC/Georgetown. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This place is fabulous, and this ravioli dish that is pictured I could not stop eating. Highly recommend if you like great food and great service!
