Despite being located in landlocked Colorado, this restaurant serves excellent seafood. As someone who has lived on the coast for most of my life, I can attest that the quality of the seafood here surpasses many places on the Gulf or East Coast. From the shrimp appetizer to the octopus and fish and chips, every dish we tried was outstanding. The server was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was modern and trendy, fitting in perfectly with the RiNo area. While the prices were on the higher side, I felt that the quality justified it and I left feeling satisfied after enjoying an entree and appetizer. My only criticism would be that the music was too loud for a high-end dining experience. H...
I’ll start with the bad so you prepare better than us. I’ll summarize with simply some people just shouldn’t work in service, and the hostess we experienced fit in that category. So unfortunately we started out on a bad note but once we finally got a table it was made up for and more. Our waiter was absolutely amazing attentive, great suggestions, friendly and prompt. Our food was also deeeelish! We had the octopus, scallops, some oysters to top it off key lime pie! Everything was excellent. The wine was also great. For the price, everything was on par expectation wise. Just make a reservation (even for 2) so you can avoid the hostess as much as possible.
absolutely delicious in the first night I went we have everything that is so delicious, we ate in the kitchen bar it was inviting fun atmosphere music amazing. went back last night and had the lobster mac and fish n chips not make photos cuz we eat so fast, so delicious our server scott was amazingly attentive and fun! all server hosts are very good service and friendly. the kitchen staff is so interactiw. I love to dance with them and they are honest “My peoples” as it is just something I cannot explain, the connection I have with them and their culture their music. eating and ambiente is amazing. this is now our place for good moods and good seafood.
Just because this place is small and a bit out of the way, don 't do Denver without a trip to Fish N Beer. Way cool vibe with the food prep right next to the bar and tables. Wood fire blazing right there with a custom iron works adjustable grate system. Did I say "fire? "A pan with mussels was placed on the stove flared up three feet, or so it seems. Happy hour is legit, great place for great oysters, the house specialty. Craft draft selection is great.Oh, the sign thing in the window, they must be talking about the oysters.
The restaurant is a bit small and the back patio could use some minor improvements, like not having large water fans on the tables. However, the food is excellent and the smell of the fire adds to the amazing atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and all of the drinks. The servers were friendly and efficient. Despite its size, we were seated promptly, which was a nice surprise. I definitely love this place.
Had an amazing happy hour evening on Saturday night. Oyster variety, crab pretzel and staff were 10/10. The ambiance is so unexpected from the street. You enter to a bustling atmosphere where staff cares about accommodation and as I say at the bar, I felt like I befriended the open kitchen as they served hot top tier fish and cocktailsFood: 5/5
Delightful gem in RiNo! Great seafood!Service was wonderful!We started with the grilled oysters, half garlic butter, half devil sauce. Both delicious. Devil sauce for the win!Scallops were cooked perfectly and the Alamosa bass was great. Next time I'll ask for more chimichurri sauce!Will definitely be going back!
Amazing! Everything was so tasty and I wanted to try everything. I would have given it 5 for everything, but the music was rather loud and it was hard to have a conversation with my friend.The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations.I'd say if you like seafood this place is a MUST!
I have a new favorite place! I have to taste everything on the menu. the personal is super. the food I had was unique and fantastic. they had a very interesting selection of oysters. the open kitchen with the wood fire grill is so cool. I felt like home and I can't wait to go back.
