If you enjoy grilled seafood at a great price, this is the place to go! I took my mom, who loves seafood, and she ordered the Cajun salmon vinaigrette salad. She absolutely loved it, saying the fish was buttery, juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. For around $13, she received two generous pieces of fish on her salad. I tried the battered fish and shrimp tacos, and they were really good too, especially considering I’m new to seafood! I’ve also enjoyed their clam chowder served in a sourdough bread bowl, reminiscent of Boudin’s. My boyfriend is a fan of their grilled fish and shrimp as well. This spot is definitely a top choice for seafood lovers!
I had a delightful experience at FishBonz, visiting for the first time on a weekday evening with friends. We decided to order nearly everything on the menu, and the food was presented in a unique way that truly set this visit apart from the typical restaurant outing. Each dish we tried was incredible! Everything was fresh and flavorful, but the shrimp tacos stood out as the favorites of our group. If you plan to go, you can't miss trying them! We're also excited to return to sample the fried calamari and butterfly shrimp. Honestly, everything we tasted was exceptional. I will definitely be coming back! Great spot! The food was delicious and fresh. We dined upstairs and enjoyed a view of the street. Parking was convenient, and there's outdoor seating too. Update 10/8/21: I absolutely love this place! If you haven't visited yet, you're truly missing out. The service is consistently friendly, and the food is fantastic! I can't get enough of those fried zucchinis, haha. This time, my husband had the fish and chips with shrimp skewers, while I enjoyed the halibut with corn and sweet potato fries. We make the drive from South County all the way to Costa Mesa just to get our fresh fish fix!

This restaurant is definitely a healthier option compared to others, even offering kombucha as a drink choice. The menu was quite extensive. While the salmon was tasty, it was a bit dry for my taste, likely because it was cooked to perfection without added salt. The Chilean lake bass was decent, but I thought it was somewhat small for the price. The corn was probably the standout of the meal, and the zucchini was excellently grilled. I also loved the restaurant’s flooring, which resembled water—so I felt like I was practically running on water while I was there!
The food at this restaurant was absolutely delightful. Among all the dishes we tried, the only one that fell short was the beans, as they tasted somewhat bland compared to the other flavorful choices. The sauce for the rockin' shrimp was outstanding, and I’m sure I won’t be able to resist ordering it again on our next visit. There’s a large parking lot in the back, although it can be a bit tricky to find a spot during busy times.

The food here is just as fantastic as at the Torrance location, and they even offer a wider selection of menu items, including some unique dishes that we really enjoyed! I absolutely love this place! Our meals were fantastic. The garlic sauce on the whitefish was amazing, the black beans had a perfect garlic flavor, and the grilled zucchini was delicious. The shrimp disappeared quickly—they were that good! You have an excellent team here. Thanks! Now I understand why this spot is so popular and always busy.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. I hope others have a better experience.
