This restaurant is a great little find on the Geelong Waterfront. We began with the kingfish sashimi and scallops. The kingfish portion was generous and super fresh, while the scallops were small but perfectly cooked in a delicious buttery sauce. The entree portion included 6 scallops, which made up for their size. For the main course, we had the lobster which was outstanding. The 250g portion was just right and the addition of a slice of lemon made it even better. The chips on the side were also excellent. For dessert, we enjoyed a nice treat. Despite the restaurant being short staffed, the two girls working there did a good job.
FRESH, DELICIOUS AND SCRUMPTIOUSThis was super duper yummy and I would definitely come back for more! We ate the seafood platterlinguine, garlic bread and chocolate pudding. The seafood platter was super fresh and clean, the linguine was pretty good but it could be better, the garlic bread was quite nice but there was a lot of butter and the chocolate pudding was alright but the ice cream was not very good. Overall the food was pretty good but the service could be better as it was quite inconsistent. I recommend the seafood platter as it was filling and enough for a meal with two people:)Gigi Alfred
We had a wonderful lunch at Fisherman's Pier! Just as I had read in other reviews, the service was excellent. Our waitress and waiter were both lovely. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't busier during a Sunday lunchtime. We ordered the sashimi appetizer with a side salad, which was fresh and delicious. Some of us shared the seafood platter, which was really good. The oysters Kirkpatrick were the best I've ever had, incredibly flavorful. The food was presented beautifully. The coffee was also very good. We will definitely be returning in the future!
Came here today with my girlfriends for some fine dining and boy, was it fancy and delicious. We received Welcoming service from the staff and the waiters. I ordered the black rock risotto as part of the express menu and it was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection! The seafood was soft, mixed with fish, samon and colourful herbs that provided a balance to the food pallet. Had an express lunch here without a reservation on a weekend during the school holidays. They were very accommodating and a child friendly restaurant. Had the express steak meal which came with chips and salad for $25. The steak was medium rare as ordered and the jus was delicious. Chips and salad were fine. It was a touristy location in Geelong along the waterfront and we enjoyed the experience. We got the impression that a tip was expected. Service was excellent.
I don't have a favorite dish at Fishermen's Pier; I have tried various items off the menu and have also enjoyed their specials. During our last visit, we savored the lobster, which was served half with butter garlic sauce and half natural. I wished I had opted for the whole lobster with garlic and butter sauce once it arrived. The wine list also impressed me, as my husband has a particular favorite wine that he enjoys at the restaurant.
I came with my family for dinner we ordered seafood platter $147 for two quite a big serve), mussels cherry tomatoes linguini, garlic bread, aioli chips chocolate pudding for dessert. We really enjoyed the fresh serve of seafoods good quality meals. The service was pretty good and overall the restaurant had a great atmosphere and view of the beach.
If you have craving for seafood you can't go wrong at fisherman's pier. Have been coming here for nearly 20 years. Jimmy the manger provides spotless service and their seafood platter is to die for. Delicious meal and great service. Walked in and ordered straight away, within 5 minutes of ordering our meals were served. Everything was perfect. Atmosphere was lovely, calm and classy (not loud and hectic like so many restaurants).Can't wait to go back!
