Arrived to a big car park that had plenty of spaces. The buildings looked well maintained and had a big welcome sign .It comprises of bar ,dining tables and new side building with about 45 covers. At the outside there were another 25 coves that offered illuminated dining al fresco with lovely views. Additional covers to be found in other building. All tables were clean well presented.in all nice location with good interior and exterior décor. On entry we were greeted by friendly staff. we were shown to our table and served our drinks quickly. First time at Five Spice and came for my hubby’s birthday. The restaurant is really nice and in a lovely setting. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service was faultless. The food was absolutely delicious. We had Saag Bhaji Fritters and Jhinga Saag Mushroom Puri for our starters. I had Railway Lamb Curry and hubby had North Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken Tikka for our mains, with sides of Lemon Chilli Fries Rice and Garlic Naans. The flavours were gorgeous and the meat so tender. Our waiter found out it was my hubby’s birthday and brought him a piece of chocolate cake to wish him a happy birthday. Such a lovely touch. Used Five Spice regularly a few years ago when we used to get delicious, medium spiced curries. However, the last 3 or 4 times we have used them the spice level seems to be either bland/no spice or blow your head off! What has happened to the lovely medium spiced curries we used to get?? I even asked at the time for a mild/medium dish, rather than a medium/hot. They replace it with a different curry to my request, which tasted bland. Can't fault the staff or the setting, other than we were put in the conservatory where we had to lip read to try have a conversation, it was so loud! Spoilt what should have been a nice catch up with a friend. Won't be using them again which is a shame.
Have been wanting to come to the restaurant for a while. We finally decided to come today for late lunch. The experience it’s not been as expected due to unfriendly staff. We were asked if we had booked a table even though the restaurant was completely empt, we were taken to a table and the person who let us in was not friendly at all in fact he looked like he was doing us a favor by letting us lunch in. Same thing when we ordered our food. The food was nice and served quite quickly but I will not repeat the experience as don’t like to go to places where I am not treated with kindness.

We are local and were very disappointed! Relaxing dining, unfortunately not,… Yes, it’s busy, but theres a huge difference between ‘atmosphere’ and being ridiculously noisy! The food was well presented, but overly coloured snd lacked the depth of flavour expected from our chosen dishes!
Booked a meal here for the first time on Christmas eve with my husband. Really impressed with the restaurant, lovely decor, atmosphere and great food. Big car park and lovely setting, will definitely visit again.
I hired the sunset lounge for my 40th birthday party which was a set dinner for 45 people. Five spice provided great food and amazing service with compliments from all of my guests. Thank you so much
Second Sunday in a row for a family meal, excellent service, excellent food , definitely the best Indian restaurant for miles around. Would definitely recommend . Jackie Crowley

What a fab place. The food was great and the service. What a view from the conservatory area! An all round lovely restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been.
An Indian restaurant that really is hit and miss. Had a great takeaway one week but then a few weeks later really poor. So I’d say flip a coin and good luck!
