I feel a bit torn writing this review because my husband I love Five Suns. We live in Martinez and have followed their beer for years. We enjoy the beer and service, especially at the new location. The unfortunate part is that this place has become absolutely overrun with young children. We both love kids and can understand that this is a family friendly establishment. However, this Friday evening was a final straw to an ongoing problem. There were kids of all ages screaming, crying, and jumping on and off tables. Great outdoor/indoor seating with most tables with an umbrella when it gets super hot out. Their food truck partnership might be on a rotation? I know there was a ceviche truck a few times, but this past Sunday it was a taco truck. They also had live music too. It's definitely dog friendly! They even sell dog snacks and can provide you with a water bowl. Their beer selection is good, but limited compared to other breweries. You can also mix flavors for their hard seltzer which is flavorful! My fave is guava mango! I also enjoy their pilsner.
My family and I visited this restaurant on Sunday during the farmers market when it was nearly 100 degrees outside. What a fantastic place! The indoor space was nice, clean, and cool. The staff were friendly and provided recommendations, as well as serving cool beers on tap with unique names (though I can't remember them all). We tried a guava beer which was a hit with everyone. The outdoor seating was also nice, and there was a food truck located just outside. Overall, a great experience.
Fantastic location and facility. Great patio, and indoor space is a perfect industrial taproom style brewery. Unfortunately, the beer, to be generous, is not good.. at all. Everyone in our group, from beer snobs to casual drinkers agreed. The brewery down the street is an example of great beer. This place needs to nail down their process. I hate to bag on it, but a brewery must make really good beer.

The outdoor seating area at this restaurant is lovely, but unfortunately, the beer selection is lacking. My wife and I tried a few different options, and none of them were to our liking. Additionally, the female bartender we encountered was quite unfriendly. If dealing with customers is a hassle for you, perhaps a different job would be more suitable.
Love their new location! Lots of seating inside and outside! When we stopped by one day, there was a food truck outside. Not sure if this is a regular thing, but since they are in downtown lots of food options around. My fave is the OG burst!
This place has a lot of potential, they are basically David versus Goliath so to speak with respect to Del Cielo; however, with a little bit more volumes of CO2, and chill on the darker bears so to speak. We got five stars.
Love coming here. Such a cute little place nestled in downtown Martinez. Everybody here is so nice. The outdoor seating is gorgeous and there's always great food trucks and restaurants nearby if you get hungry.

I think this is the best outdoor brewery space in Contra Costa County. Friendly staff and beer on tap plus some wine/seltzer/cider. Has live music a few days a week, also food trips. Must visit for Martinez.
