Me and my husband came to fives with quite high expectations but left quite disappointed. Service was ok, food was ok starter was nice (pate) and main was nice (steak and truffle chips) but steak wasn’t the warmest which later on at the end of meal after me telling them he rectified with a complimentary drink for us both. Now I’m one for music and a good time but I feel the DJ may of been a little premature with choice of music at 8.30 while people are still dining keep it lively but maybe was a bit too lively maybe consider notching it up around 9.30/10. I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite seeing appealing images online and on social media, the reality fell far short of my expectations. We were seated before other customers but were served after them, leaving us waiting. We visited on a Sunday hoping for the special Sunday lunch menu, but were not given menus for it. When we asked for a drinks menu, none was available, making it difficult to choose a drink. The food we ordered was not cooked as requested, the vegetables were cold, and the mashed potatoes were dry and unappetizing. Really enjoyed our visit so Fives resteraunt,my mum had seen an ad online and thought the Sunday lunch looked good so we booked and went,and we wasn't disappointed,lunch was beautiful,tasted great and was really well presented,the staff were lovely and accommodating and even though it was in beautiful surroundings it felt very relaxed,it was lovely for a Sunday afternoon just on the off chance but would be great for a special occasion,especially because of the cocktail there.we will definitely be visiting again.thanks
Booked for a birthday meal for 9 people at 7.30 some ordered starters and then mains, for those that didn’t order starters we only got our mains 2 hours later...food was really good. Main problem was the bar service as we didn’t want to order from the table as we were a large booking. Only 2 people on the bar making cocktails meant a wait of up to 20 mins for a drink as they were very busy but apart from that everything else was very good.

Food is very good, I hope more people try it as it has been on the quiet side the past few times I’ve been. Lovely building and staff all seem good competent
The steak and chips at this restaurant are excellent, and you get good value for your money. The live music from Nuno Ess is fantastic.
