We came in from out of town to visit our son and looked for restaurants with good reviews. This restaurant had good reviews, but we were very disappointed. 3 of 5 of us ordered medium and medium rare steaks. The steaks were well overdone. In fact, mine was so overdone on the edges that it was unable to be eaten. The waitress apologized and said she would give us a discount on the bill. Our bill was $117.00, and she gave us a total of $5 off for 3 terrible steaks and steamed broccoli that was far from being steamed because it wasn't even cooked. I want to express my gratitude to the staff for being attentive and ensuring that everyone was happy during my visit. They were all very friendly, especially Claire! Everything was incredibly quick, even though it was a busy night. I’m amazed at how well they managed to multitask! I truly appreciate the hard work and delicious food. I've consistently enjoyed great food here. The French dip sandwiches are a personal favorite. The service is always friendly and attentive. For dining in, I’ve had dinner there, and the price per person is around $10 to $20. I would rate the food 5 out of 5, the service 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere 5 out of 5 as well. I highly recommend the slow-roasted prime rib!
My family grew up in Aberdeen and this restaurant has been around forever. My first time there. You can tell it has history. Food was decent, wait staff was great. I have visited The Flame several times over the past month, and each time the food has been excellent. The steaks are cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. Additionally, the service has been outstanding. The Flame has become my go-to restaurant for a fantastic meal.
Overall, it was an okay experience. The $27 ribeye was overcooked, though it did taste good. I probably wouldn't order that steak again because of the price. The staff was pleasant. Food: 3/5, Service: 3/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.
