Was in the area having some lunch and saw the Flurples’ store front which looked really nice so decided to give the ice cream a try. I got the strawberry shortbread sundae, boyfriend got the Oreo root beer milkshake. We both thought the the ice cream tasted off. We ended up eating half of it and throwing the rest out and was pretty disappointed given the high price point. It wasn’t until after reading the other reviews here on google that we realized it was vegan ice cream, that explains it. There should really be a sign in the store front stating the ice cream is vegan we didn’t see any indication of this. I wouldn’t have purchased any products if I knew this ahead of time. I wanted to try some fluples for a while, but I had no chance. I went today after a visit to Tuco's Tacos and it was delicious! The prices were not too bad and we really have our orders fast. The portion sizes were huge; I couldn't finish mine. It could be better to share. I had the strawberry shortcake ice cream and it was really good! I thought it was too sweet, but I didn't have much of a sweet tooth, so maybe it was just my personal preference. I'm not a big fan of coconut, so I didn't care much about the coconut cream above. But otherwise it was very good, and you could definitely not vegan in thinking it was milk. Yummy!
Ice cream was okay and my husband enjoyed his milkshake. Came to write a review but see that whoever runs this page (owner presumably? is often rude as heck and clearly can't take any form of criticism (even when constructive and I don't have any interest in supporting a business with that type of attitude to its customers. Edit to add: I appreciate the response to my original review and understand that perspective. I do admit that some of the responses did turn me off of wanting to return (though some were admittedly well deserved but I will return as I did enjoy my ice cream. Thank you.
$12 for 2 ice cream cones (chocolate pb) and they were so freezer burnt we threw both of them out. I'd rather eat Chapman's. On the positive side, I love the look and vibe of this place EDIT: Thanks for the response. I don't think it's actually freezer burnt. I loved ordering from the window on the sidewalk, awesome vibe. Really great menu, so many things that sounded amazing that it was hard to pick. I had the peanut butter cup sundae (I believe that’s what it’s called) and honestly I thought it was pretty yummy even though I’m not a huge peanut guy. I wish I would have tried a milkshake but overall I really enjoyed the whole experience.
We were here on several occasions when in the area for vacation and the children love it. Just like us. We love that they have gluten-free options and vegan options and the coconut whipped cream is delicious!! Would you sink the milk shakes and strawberry short-cake ice cream. Open only for a few months in summer, so drive there in warm weather. You won't regret it.
Thank you for getting back. I am not really sure what to answer you. We didn't like much the taste of the icecreams we took. Maybe because they are vegan. However when I was at your place around 2 years back I remember that the ice cream tasted better. Hope this helps
Ordered the strawberry shortcake Sunday. Literally a pinch of strawberry cookie crumb. First 2 bites it was gone. Ice cream was ok, melted quickly and tasted like coconut. For 8 bucks, way overpriced for sure. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This place is delicious!! I had the peanut butter sun and you can't even say it vegan. My fiance had the keksteig and he said it was the best he had. General portions, good prices, great selection!
