It's so nice that lots of people are figuring out what customers want in their eateries. Finally. Restauranteurs are realizing that folks often want something different, something better than the typical run of the mill fast food in places where that used to be all one could get. At ski lodges you expect to see stale pizza slices under a heat lamp, hot dogs, lukewarm french fries and chicken fingers and yeah, Toggenberg has all that, but at the Foggy Goggle, they also have the option of a cocktail and/or local Syracuse crafty drafty beer pour/bottle and some food items a heck of a lot better served up by some nice and friendly folks. As a long-time winter patron (both skier and snowmobiler), I dined at this restaurant on January 15, 2018, and ordered the seared scallops. The dish featured spice-crusted U-12 scallops, mussels, roasted potatoes, and spinach, all beautifully finished in a saffron velouté. It was an exceptional meal, certainly ranking among the top ten meals I've had there in the past decade. This restaurant stands out as one of the best among the hundreds in the Central New York area. Delicious!!! I'm not a fan of winter sports at all; I dislike the cold. Instead, I visit Foggy Goggle for the food! I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but so far, I have no complaints! The burgers are fantastic, and the fries are perfectly crispy and tasty! The quesadilla is also a highlight! I appreciate their wide selection of local beers. And if you're a fan of Moscow Mules, they use Saranac Ginger Beer for theirs! You're welcome!!! Now, go check it out for yourself and see how great it is!
You'll be reminiscing about the Foggy Goggle's food long after your visit. There's nothing quite like coming inside after a day of skiing, taking off your boots, and settling in at the Foggy Goggle. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you’ll often see familiar faces. The Hickey family truly does an outstanding job, and their food is undoubtedly the best in Central New York! We had a wonderful experience at this cozy slopeside restaurant, which offers homemade, affordable dining options and a great selection of brews, including a full bar. We really enjoyed the sweet potato fries, homemade clam chowder, and chili. The server was not only friendly but also knowledgeable, addressing our allergy concerns with ease.
Only open during ski season, but i don't think i have ever had a bad meal here. The chef's daily specials are the way to go as he does do some interesting unexpected things, but the burgers and quesadilla are good as well. They close early on some days, so pay attention to that. Decent beer selection- primarily Empire and Middle Ages.
a gem!! you hop of the mountain and head over to foggy goggle for a big beer and yummy treats. charming decoration and full of smiling, rosy-cheeked clientele. we opted for fries and two bowls of soup- split pea and clam chowder. a very good meal...will definitely come back for more grub like paninis, burgers.

It's closed, and I don't think it will ever reopen. It was a nice place and could have been a great option for catering.
