Fort - Tisch resevieren

First visit to this bar as I'd heard really good reviews, but service was poor. Table who came in after us were served before us. Menu varied, and they offer small portions as well as full sized portions. I chose salmon salad....salad was nothing special and not too well presented. Leaves out of a bag with a boiled egg, a few tomatoes, some sliced cucumber and a small tub of coleslaw and tasteless potato salad. Friend chose small chicken pad Thai, which tasted delicious. Veg was extra with this dish.

Service was VERY VERY poor. Drink order was taken immediately, didn’t arrive for about half an hour. Sat an hour till our starter came out! Then plates sat for ages , nobody asked if everything was ok, nobody asked if we needed more drinks. We order pudding and was close to just leaving it took forever to come out . My husband was raging!!! Paid bill again nobody asked if all was ok. Such a shame cause the place is stunning but not up to scratch with service.

Iv had lunch here many times, the portions are hearty and the food quality is great for the price. Iv always enjoyed it. I like that they also have quality wines and not just cheep nasty stuff like other pubs. It’s always jumping in here on a Friday and Saturday night and is the place everyone ends up. Thank goodness for this bar in the ferry, considering dundees nightlife nowadays the ferry really is the only option and the fort never disappoints!

I had a salad just received it and noticed a hair in it. The waiter came and took it back to kitchen apologised abd brought anither. I had eaten some and noti ed another hair, that was me i was done so left feeling quite nauseous. On going to pay for the food we had recèived they did not take the money for salad, i never asked for that, i would rather have enjoyed my food. Once was bad enough but twice awful. Always the best meal service, live locally and this is a go to place-good is always great, big portions service always fab, even when it’s busy! Went with family/friends some had the Xmas menu-the turkey dinner looked soo good! My favourite is the steak pie! Always a great cheesecake too, also reasonably priced-we were £100 for 5 of us, most had starters 2 having alcoholic drinks, would def recommend!

Food was so tasty I had the steak pie, a great portion, hubby had butterfly chickand he said it was delish again a large chicken breast. Definitely worth the price, which is reasonable pub prices. They also do half portions. We did wait a while for our meal, but it was busy on a Monday afternoon. Very nice decor inside too.

Table slot too short with such slow service. Very hit and miss service and food. The Xmas menu roast beef was terrible. Like warm, just thrown on the plate with tasteless fatty beef, watery mash and hard veg. Not up to a good standard for a £20 meal. Place very busy and drinks service was slow. You must do better folks!

We had the most friendly welcome from staff and our mac and cheese, curly fries, onion rings and garlic bread was delicious. I would highly recommend. We also had our dog with us and that was no bother too, very dog friendly. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Went to the Fort for a meal with family for my birthday. The food was excellent I had steak pie and I can honestly say it was the Best Ive tasted yet. Would highly recomend paying them a visit you wont be dissapointed

First time being here despite living in Dundee all my life..This place is brilliant. Super friendly staff you can have a conversation with. We had a super time and will def be back .Food was awesome
