I recently dined at a restaurant and ordered a mixed grill, but was disappointed to find a piece of gristle in my steak. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he offered me a pint or a pudding instead of replacing the steak. I insisted on a new steak, but the waiter said it would take too long to cook. I cook steak at home and know it doesn't take that long. Despite my repeated requests for a replacement, the waiter was adamant that I could only receive a pudding or a pint. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with our meals the roast potato’s were frozen out of a packet and almost inedible,veg was a few diced bits, now this was supposed to be a roast dinner, I had the Gammon which was very salty so I had to leave it or I would have been drinking water all night! My son and Daughter in law felt let down as this was my Mothers Day meal, I worked in the catering industry so I know bad meals when I see them, I would not recommend any one to go there for a special meal.
Late Thursday afternoon lunch for 5 of us. Atmosphere was just right, quiet enough to talk but not enough to be eavesdropped! We had pre-booked and table was reserved as expected. Ordered for via the Ember app and it was a fuss-free experience being easy to use. Service was spot with a decent delay between starters mains. Cost a touch over £80 for 5 starters mains, good value imho. Staff were attentive without being too fussy. All-in-all very satisfied and we will be back.

Waited for food for an hour and went to bar and they said the kitchen didn’t have our order so other than a sorry that was it from them. This is our local and it’s getting worse every time we come so don’t think we will bother for food again just drinks. Shame really.

The new menu at this restaurant is fantastic. The new sauce they are using for the wings is a big improvement. The service is excellent as well. I definitely plan on trying out the entire menu.
This is an excellent pub with extremely friendly staff who were very accommodating to my wheelchair needs. I have no complaints at all, just that it can get quite busy at times.
