The staff were exceptionally friendly and even took the time to update us on our food without us having to ask, which we appreciated. My only suggestions for improvement would be the addition of a lunch menu, as it felt a bit heavy to have a steak at 4 PM. Also, given their dog-friendly environment—where we noticed about six other dogs—it would be nice to see a dedicated dog menu featuring items like dog-friendly ice cream, sausages, and snacks. My dog did enjoy the pork cracklings, though! Parking is somewhat limited, with a small lot out front. However, there's a larger public pay-and-display lot just across the street, which is quite affordable at £1.40 for four hours. Price per person:...
Lovely friendly atmosphere, wide variety of drinks available. Food available didn't eat on this occasion but have previously been good pub grub. Dog friendly, good views, large outdoor area. I visited on a bank holiday and enjoyed a lovely atmosphere along with some delicious food. I would suggest adding a few more sunshades for the tables, as we didn't have any and it got a bit warm while we were dining. Overall, I would rate it a 5 out of 5 and highly recommend the half roast chicken!
I had lunch at the Fox Hounds with my wife and son. We sat in the conservatory. The food turned out to be better than we had expected and the service was outstanding.
