Reputations in the restaurant industry can be difficult to maintain, and even harder to regain once lost. For over 23 years, I have enjoyed delicious meals at Frampton FISH bar. However, recent visits have left me disappointed with the decline in quality of their signature item, the fish. The batter has been either flabby and greasy or rock hard, encasing a thin, chewy piece of fish that tastes more like oil than the sea. While I understand that fish can be expensive, I would gladly pay more for a better quality piece. There are plenty of other white fish options available that are just as good if prepared correctly. Normally use the Chinese takeaways near me but fancied a change it's only a 10 minute drive to collect, rang order in advance on arrival gave my number food was ready in 2 mins, special fried rice, special chow main, BBQ ribs, curry sauce and all was very good so will be using again soon. Bit of confusion with numerous people stood outside some in doorway but nothing to worry about,would definitely reccomend, my Chinese near me in Bradley stoke unfortunately gone downhill rapidly last 12 months, last month had a chicken curry oh dear! Didnt even recognise it as chicken couldn't work it out? Like spongy water filled lumps of marshmallows! Not edible

I have been living in Frampton for 25 years and have enjoyed some excellent meals from Frampton Fish Shop. However, the last three times I have ordered fish and chips, I have been disappointed. The batter on the fish has been soggy and the chips have not been up to standard. Despite the prices not being cheap, the quality has been lacking. I will now be searching for a new Chinese chip shop, which is unfortunate.

The cooking area is in view of the patrons and is clearly very clean. The food reputation has always and rightly been extremely good with fast service by friendly staff. The curry and satay dishes are my choice.

Had chicken, rice and the curry sauce last night, now I have a upset tummy which shows they’re food is not fresh, especially for what had to pay for as well, awful. Do not recommend.

This place has closed and as far as I know, wont be reopening any time soon. So unless it is taken over by new management they wont be serving an dishes.

Expensive over cooked. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with a portion of chips £9.20!!! Was overcooked very dry. Would not recommend

Local Chinese and chippy. Does the job. Popular and inexpensive. Always quick. Closed over Christmas and New Year.
