I really missed the black man who ran this place for years, he also had another place in LaBelle, Florida. His grill was so superior to the people who bought him. I have to say that every time I've eaten there since he's gone, we all the people I gave the food to keep up the smoke taste, it's repeating itself. It's like too much of a smoke flavor and they use the wrong wood and their smoke flavor too much and they're red ring around the grill that we're looking is completely gone here and I'm sad about it because this was the place to get some smoked meat and for some crazy reason they're constantly running out of chicken where they don't know how to chicken or anything it's the more bizarre
This is a great spot for a quick BBQ meal! I ordered the brisket sandwich, but they also offer pork, chicken, and meat by the pound. Their sides include mac and cheese, potato salad, collard greens, and beans, along with drinks and banana pudding. There was so much meat piled on the soft bun that I ended up making a second sandwich with half of it! It came with a small container of barbecue sauce, which I chose to be mild. I prefer my sauce cooked in, but it was still tasty. At $10, the price was reasonable. You simply walk up to the window, check out the menu with prices, and let the friendly staff know what you’d like. They pack it all up in a to-go bag for you!

This is the best place to go for the best food. Pulled pork and chicken sandwiches are the best this side of the Mississippi River. Friendly, fast, best food. Love this BBQ shack!! Seriously, THE BEST BRISKET IN THE AREA!! Not only that, his cornbread is the best I have had..anywhere. it's like a corncake!! Go on and get you some. Even better, throw in your order, head to the humane society store! And get your order when you're done there.
We enjoyed a delicious rib special and green for $12. If I'm not mistaken, I think they use oak to do smoking, that's a common local wood and probably free. It has a unique taste, unlike Hickory, which many are used. It was good for us.
This is one of the best bbq and fixations I've ever had. The bbq is always top-tier. The baked beans are magical. The sweet tea and the lemonade even have Freddie's special touch. Freddie himself is very warm and welcoming.
