This is our first time in Clearwater beach and we have went to Frenchys 3 times so far… Jamie (male staff Jamie as I know there’s also a female staff but we didn’t meet her), Brandon, and Megan were absolutely delightful and made our lunch/suppers great. They were very friendly and chatted with us about the area, local foods, etc. we will definitely be going back before our time in Clearwater beach is up, but if you’re in the area definitely check them out. (If you’re there for supper request a table on the sand and the sunset will not disappoint).
Located right on the beach. Amazing view of the sunset if you're seating out. Food was underwhelming. We had high hopes because of the popularity of this restaurant, but we're left wanting for more. Not sure if that was due to the memorial day weekend rush. The flavors were muted on the stuffed grouper. Crab fries were decent. Come here for the location, but food wise you'll find much better taste at other smaller local eateries.
I wish we had a location closer to home, anytime we go out to Clearwater we try to stop in for a drink, but the food is also very good. Beautiful view from the patio of the white sand beach, they have walk-up counter service if you want to get food/drinks for the beach. They have a huge selection of appetizers to share and normal lunch/dinner entrees with several options for non-seafood eaters. Can’t wait to go back!
after a pleasant morning on the beach we went to French to eat at lunchtime. the fries with crab meats were so good: I never thought about this combination and it was real crab meat. delicious! I had a super green salad with garnel. it was good, but I wish it was less citing. but this is a question of taste, some people. overall my experience was amazing and personal was great! comes back! Frenchy's is always good food! I had the shrimp basket with fries and slaw. Also had fried calamari app. Both were delicious. Service was good, and I'd say the prices were OK for what you get, but definitely not what I'd consider a great value. You are paying a premium for being right on the water and for the atmosphere. But it's good and I'll definitely be back for an occasional treat.
Great spot to relax near the beach and take in the sunshine. The restaurant seems to be quite the hopping place to be and we enjoyed our stop. The food was good- we would definitely recommend the Garlic Crab Fries. The Peel Eat Shrimp were just ok. I would also steer clear of the mixed drinks and stick to beer- they were pretty weak. But overall a fun place!
we love this place and it is the perfect place on the beach can watch the sunset from here! good eating and drinks and great service! we ordered calamari and baked oysters for appetizer and ordered surfing and shaking and avocado poke and dessert wrench limette cake it was all delicious!
delicious! beach bar vibe. huge menu and something for everyone. I was a big fan of her fried garnel. it is not greasy, but a beautiful crispy outside. my man has her signature group sandwich. their frozen drinks are also top notch. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This place is a must for an evening to see the amazing sunset over the water. Literally on the beach with patio seating options. Great fish tacos and amazing shrimp with excellent service. Will highly recommend. 10/10.
