Went to dinner here with friends this weekend. Fresca has a bright, clean modern atmosphere. We had a good service experience albeit a little bit slow as we were attempting to wrap up the meal. Server was kind and helpful. I think of myself as a bit of a cocktail snob in the sense that I 'm looking for fresh ingredients and consistency. The Patron margarita was absolutely delicious. A+ Chips and salsa, not great. I don 't want to say that the chips were stale but they were a bit hard. The fresh salsa was awful. Off flavors and a complete lack of seasoning. We stopped into Fresca on our way down to the casino. Our biggest complaint was that they didn't have a hostess when we arrived and despite several empty tables and several employees walking past us, no one stopped to seat us. It seemed to be a problem many patrons experienced. However, once we finally got a table, it was worth the 10-minute wait. We ordered their special Guava Coconut Margarita which was seriously delicious. It immediately transported me to the Caribbean. We ordered the BBQ and blue pulled pork nachos, and wow! You can really tell they make the chips in-house. Each chip was piled high with cheese, pork, sauce, and pure deliciousness. I would have appreciated a bit more blue cheese on the nachos, as I didn't notice much of it, but they were still great. I had the pork enchilada (I hope I got that right), and it was amazing! The portions were so generous that I got full pretty quickly, but I'm not complaining because I get leftovers! The margaritas were perfect too—a healthy balance of alcohol and fruit. They were a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. This place has quickly become our new favorite spot!
A nice find in Colchester! The menu offered creative options to the traditional offerings you'll find in other Mexican restaurants in the area. We had a reservation for our group of 8 and glad we did. The restaurant was busy when we arrived and soon had a short line waiting for tables. There is ample seating available both inside and out, and they had live entertainment on the patio. A good selection of local IPA's on draft along with the expected brands in bottles. While the restaurant was busy, they had plenty of servers and ours was very attentive to our needs. Food was great, drinks were great and the price was fair. We'll be back! I happened to visit this restaurant for the first time on National Margarita Day, and it was a great choice! Despite the bustling atmosphere, the servers were incredibly attentive, and our food arrived quickly and hot. The drinks were fantastic, with the margaritas being among the best I've had. They had wonderful flavors and weren't overly sugary, which I really appreciated. The food was decent, although it was a bit on the pricier side. If I return, it will definitely be for happy hour to enjoy the drinks and some appetizers! Overall, it's a great spot to grab a drink and catch up with a friend.
When we moved to the area, we were a little disappointed in the various offerings of different types of restaurants, but Fresca was a welcome surprise in ourhunt. We very much have enjoyed every visit here. The staff is amazing. The drinks and the food are great and there's always something fun going on. This is especially a great place to have a group event like a birthday or other celebration as their long tables really help facilitate the fun. We come here often now and we enjoy it every single time.
Whether dining in or grabbing food to go Fresca does not disappoint. The staff is friendly and attentive. We always enjoy an order of tortilla chips and salsa followed by my favorite; southwestern egg rolls complete with avocado ranch. YUM. An order of chicken fajitas for one is truly enough for 2. A must enjoy drink is the coconut mojito or the mango margarita. The restaurant is welcoming and always clean. If you're lucky you can enjoy live music. During the warmer months you can enjoy eating outside.
Ate at the bar and had a nice experience. There was a musician playing live music which made the atmosphere nice. I ordered the hibiscus margarita and it was amazing just the right amount of sweetness. Bartender was very friendly. For food I ordered the black and blue pulled pork nachos which was very good and my husband had the three taco meal. He said his food was good too. The food was great, just as it always is whenever we visit. The service was also quite good. Sitting in the dining room helped to muffle the music from the bar. I ordered a shot of tequila for my wife and me, but was surprised to find out it cost $34. For just $20 more, I could have bought a whole bottle and had 14 additional shots!
