My Aunt and I wanted a quick lunch before running errands to start our family vacation. We stopped in to Fresh Lemon Grass and WOW were we impressed. The place was clean, all the staff was friendly even though they were busy, and the food was excellent! We both ordered Pod Thai and my aunt ordered some won ton soup. We were expecting the traditional "cup" of soup what she got was a MEAL! Big freshly made won ton with chunky fresh broccoli, carrots, kale, onion, bok choy and more! Our Pod Thai servings were so large we realized we could have shared one. They were delicious as well, all the sauces available on the table were an excellent addition to spice it up a bit and add some deeper flavor...
I've been so many times to Fresh Lemongrass. Lunch, dinner, takeout. Really great fresh and flavourful dishes. They have a small space to work with as far as the dining room but they have planned the tables out well. The staff have always been wonderful, hard working, and friendly. This is one of my favourite places. I've tried many dishes. I can honestly say I don't have a favourite. From the noodles, rice and soup etc. It is all fantastic! I am working my way through the menu to try everything. It is really that good!
This restaurant was busy, even on a mid week evening. All the dishes we saw served were beautifully plated and generous in size. I loved the freshness of flavour and vegetables in my vermicelli bowl, the chicken was tender, and the fish sauce generous in portion. One of our group is celiac and the staff were happy to accommodate that. This seems to be a very popular place and we would definitely return.
We were driving through Vernon and had a craving for Vietnamese and a quick search on YELP led us here. It was the best detour we have made on this
