If I hadn't visited the interior, I likely would never have given this place a second thought due to its gloomy atmosphere. The food options are nonexistent, but the drinks are decent. Unfortunately, the regular patrons aren't particularly welcoming, and seating is quite limited. There's an elderly bartender who seems disinterested in accommodating new customers. Perhaps it's worth stopping by for a drink, but I wouldn't recommend this as a dining destination.
My wife and I were in New York for a convention and decided to stop by for a cocktail. The bartender, Joe, was incredibly loud and obnoxious. The music was so blaring that we could barely hear each other speak. We ordered drinks, which were reasonably priced, but we couldn't shake the feeling that Joe seemed to be on something and might even be selling it to other customers. We saw enough to make us uncomfortable, so we decided to leave as quickly as possible!
The owner Joe was there and attentive. Joe came rite away to say hi and offer us drinks,and food. He had hot dogs,sausage,cole slaw,and chips. Very nice guy. Listens to his customers and knows what they want. If he doesn't have what you want. Joe will send someone just to make sure your happy. Great place espionage at st paddys day.
Don 't come here if you 're out of state and/or look 18. Won 't take out of state license 's or US Passports. Guy was... nice about it, but annoying nonetheless. If you 're local I 'm sure it 's a great spot. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Place was great. Great atmosphere. Service was awesome and overall people were friendly had nice conversations with almost everyone there. Bartender was awesome. Thanks for a great time everyone.
Seems like a good joint for locals. The beer was ice cold $5 each) and the bartender was friendly but we felt out of place. 80 years in business... they must be doing something right.
I've never visited this place before, but it seems that my debit card information was involved...what a surprise.
