We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor, and wanted to try a fondue in Switzerland. We tried calling to book a table during the afternoon, but no one picked the telephone. So we decided to walk in just shortly after 6pm and ask for a table,...even if we had to be for later that night. When we entered, only about half of the tables were occupied. The fondue was very good especially after we added a bit more wine to it. The...bread was a typical bread served with fondue, kind of stale but that is what it requires. For our evening meal in Zurich we had planned ahead. Neither of us had tried fondue before and it just so happened that there was a highly regarded fondue restaurant just a few minutes walk away from our hotel. With friends for dinner. The place is always full, so pre-booking is obviously essential. The menu is quite limited. Three appetizers, three types of fondue and some desserts. The fondues are okay, but nothing special. I had better in many other places. My main criticism is the service. There are two ladies serving and you get what you order... but the service would best be described as brusque at the rude limit. The other problem is the terrible acoustics. You have to call to be heard. If you are looking for excellent fondue, a great location, good ambience and friendly service, ignore the Freiburger and go to Le Dezaley instead

Wenn Sie Fondue lieben, dann ist dieser Ort in Zürich ein Muss. Sie servieren das traditionelle Fribourger Moite-Moite Fondue und es ist genau das, was man erwarten würde. Es ist so lecker, dass man sich wünschen würde, noch mehr zu haben, sobald die Pfanne leer ist. Auf jeden Fall ein Ort, zu dem ich zurückkommen werde, wenn ich Zürich besuche.
This was our first Swiss cheese fondue experience. Cozy little restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the complimentary mini potatoes and bread pieces. Prices were comparable (or less) compared to other cheese fondue options in Zurich.
Nachdem uns einer der Besitzer auf einen Spaziergang geschickt hatte, weil wir 10 Minuten zu früh waren, hatten wir ein wunderbares Essen und genossen den Abend. Ich würde das Essen empfehlen, aber pass auf den unhöflichen Besitzer auf.
This place really has the best fondue in Zürich with very friendly staff! It fills quickly so you need reservations but totally worth it, if you like fondue. Note: cheese is stinky so be prepared to smell like fondue after!
