I lived in Germany. I have lived in the USA since 1973 (when I was 13 years old). This place has the best food that I 've had anywhere since moving here back then.Whatever hassles you have to get through to get here, become distant memories after the first bite goes in your mouth.On my first visit, I was shocked when the owner told me I was about to have the BEST jägerschnitzel I 'd ever had. I was like... Okay! This guy doesn 't know where I 've been all over the USA. That 's a cocky thing to say. Well... It was! And, his story about how he got here with this restaurant is fantastic too! You 'll understand the decor completely, if you can get him when he 's got enough time to tell you about...

-CLOSED- We moved away from the area and have missed this wonderful host and great food. We just passed by and noticed all the signage is gone. So sad to see this Rowlett institution has closed.

Best hidden gem for for real German food for a few thousand miles. All cooked by the owner and chef Klaus Fritz. Closed for good thanks to a worthless landlord. Such a shame!
