I was instructed by the customer service staff at Willington Garden Centre to submit my complaint about their restaurant on TripAdvisor, so here I am. I have been dining at this restaurant for many years and have generally had a positive experience, especially enjoying their fruit scones. However, when we visited today, they were very busy and we were told there would be a 45-minute wait for food and a 15-minute wait for drinks and cake. Deciding to just have a drink and cake, we waited for our order to be taken, only to have the waitress take the order for the table next to us who arrived 10 minutes after us. We visited Frosts pumpkin patch in Willington last week with 2 little ones. At first glance it looked nice with lots of photo props. However, the amount of dogs that were there was horrible, a couple almost jumped on my baby’s pram! When you get closer to the props you realise how dirty/muddy it is. We also saw a dog having a pee on one of the props so did not even let our kids sit or go near them, which was a shame. We also queued up at the Witch’s kitchen which took absolute forever, when we got closer we realised why the 2 ladies working there were extremely slow, I’m not sure if it was their first time working at a cafe but there was no organisation at all. The restaurant in this garden centre has been completely overhauled and upgraded. A lot of thought has clearly been put into it, both the bricks and mortar side of things and the service. It is extremely successful, congratulations. They take your order at the table now; this seems a small thing but it significantly improves the experience. Our table was a little out of the way but they did not fail to notice us and someone came promptly. One negative it's very noisy. The fashion nowadays is for hard surfaces reflecting all the sound. It had been years since we last visited Willington Garden Centre, so my mom and I decided to have lunch there on a whim. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly and cheerful lady who provided us with all the information we needed to place our order. We chose our seats and were attended to by Alexandre, who was absolutely delightful. He was very helpful and attentive throughout our meal. We decided to share a jacket potato for lunch and also indulged in some cake. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with top-notch service - we would give it an 11/10 for service with a smile.

Cream scones spoilt by the strange cream. We usually love these scones but something happened to the cream which should be white and fluffy Chantilly cream. However, the cream was a grey colour and not fluffy and tasted odd. We did inquire and a kind member of staff went and asked the chief. Apparently is was supposed to be the usual cream but may have some added vanilla extract. This was NOT vanilla to the taste?
We stopped by to check out the place and ended up staying for some coffee and cake. Alex, our server, was very informative about the new menu offerings and their locations within the restaurant. Alex provided excellent customer service and we would not hesitate to return in the future!
They have this completely sorted! Didn’t have to wait long to be seated even though they were busy, were advised food might be 20 minutes, it took 10, delicious food and fabulous service ! Would 100% recommend and will definitely go again, thank you !
Walked to Willington from Bedford for coffee and cake for a friends birthday. Busy place even at 3pm and only cake and drinks available.We were non plus about the cake. It was very dry and it seemed like it was past its best.

The food was good and reasonably priced for what it was. The portions were very good too. However there were three mistakes in our drinks order and very little remorse shown for those errors!
Had a lovely lunch today with my daughter. Food was served very quickly and was delicious. I recommend the soup!
