We had dinner at Fume for a friend’s birthday on April 14, 2023. Arrived for 545 pm and enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting for our party. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu, making some good suggestions. We started with the parmigiana fries for the table and they were amazing. I had the ravioli and my companions had burgers and a chicken entree. All the food looked amazing and tasted fantastic. Plates were cleared quickly and efficiently and glasses refilled regularly. We had a group lunch today. There were 28 of us and had reservations for 12:30 PM. Let me be clear I have dined there a few times before and had a great experience. I know serving a large group can be a bit of a challenge. The food when it arrived was very good. We ordered about 12:40 and our lunches came out about 2:10. Most people don't have 2-3 hrs for lunch in the middle of the work day. The restaurant was busy and by the time we received our food the whole place had cleared out. Some of our party had to leave as soon as the food was being brought out and had to take a take out containers. And some didn't have time to finish. And left food on their plates. Stop browsing and go to this restaurant! My wife and I went to Fume on a date night and it was incredible! We ordered a few different food items for dinner (beet salad, Fume burger, truffle fries) all absolutely delicious! We also had a sinfully good Grand Marnier creme brulee for dessert...just wow! You can really tell whoever handles the menu/cooking REALLY knows their stuff. The service was as spectacular as the food. Our server was Megan and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and had such a fun loving personality, she really completed what was a fantastic dining experience. We will definitely be going back to Fume!
We happened across Fume a couple of Sundays ago, during the Holmdale art crawl. They had samplings of their small plates to try; they were so tasty and the atmosphere was so inviting we decided to stay for wine (it was 11:30 am, after all). We enjoyed it so much that we made reservations for dinner for the following (this past) Friday. The food here is SO. DELICIOUS. The presentation was a work of art. The wine paired perfectly. The service is impeccable (although I am sorry to say I don't recall our server's name). We had the same server both times and I appreciated her vibe: authentic and professional.
All the dishes were great although 2 of us ordered the beef rib ragout tagliatelle and it was very good but a couple pieces of bread would have put it over the top. I stole a couple pieces from my wife who had multiple hunks with her mussels. It's the little things people!
Hands down the best place to eat in Brantford! Fume is always my first choice when my wife and I go on a date! I've never had a bad meal here. The patio in the spring/summer is incredible as well!I would recommend anyone to try Fume!10/10
We loved our evening at Fume! Our server Megan was great...very efficient and lots of fun! The food was great and lots of selection for the gluten free menu! The Toberlone cheese cake was out of this world
Our favourite date night place. Book in advance they are always busy. Food is always fresh and tasty.
