Extremely disappointed with the customer service and what has happened to Gala bakery. I was a loyal customer for over 30 years since the original owners. We referred everyone to gala and our whole family only use this bakery for all of our cakes cookies etc... I visited the Gala Bakery website, where I found out that they are currently only accepting online orders due to COVID restrictions. I placed and prepaid for my order, and Gala confirmed a pickup time for me. However, when I arrived to collect my order, I was informed that they didn’t have the items listed online. I was extremely disappointed as this was meant to be a gift for someone. Gala could have easily notified me of this issue before I made the trip to pick up my order, but instead, I was left to choose from whatever they had on hand, none of which resembled what I had originally ordered. Had a last minute request for a birthday cake and decided to pop in here to see what was available. My decision turned out quite simple since they only had one flavor: white cake with strawberry mousse and vanilla icing. This turned out to be a good choice the cake was moist, not super dense, and with a good amount of strawberry mousse. The icing was sugary but at a level standard to other Western style bakeries. They were able to add a nicely handwritten happy birthday quickly and accurately. Prices have increased so be aware and factored into the rating. I want to thank Gala bakery for the services they have provided us. They went above and beyond on our wedding day. Great and easy Communication and kind in every way. The wedding cake was Gorgeous and delicious. I would Highly recommend them .
This was a late post. I bought cupcakes from this store. I was guaranteed that it will still be soft and moist. The children didn't even bother to eat the cupcakes it was dry and stale.
We bought different kinds of cupcakes from them. Decoration on top is nice and unique but the cupcake itself doesn't taste good at all and was dry. We won't order again.
Absolutely fantastic desserts! They are elevated, not overly sweet, with a creamy and flavorful profile that’s executed to perfection. I highly recommend them!
