I came in this morning with my friend at about 10:35, hoping to get one of the best burgers in town, but they said they cannot serve lunch until 11:00, but suggested a BLT. My friend and I agreed. I love Galen's and never miss complimenting the food and the service, but this time it was a real miss. The sandwich was served on two very thin white bread slices, one piece of bacon broken to fit the skinny small bread. Wilted lettuce and the end of a tomato sliced rounded out a disappointing sandwich. No sides, nothing but a no-frills, not very well put together sandwich. And, BTW, it had been cut in a hurry into triangles and one of the triangles was missing 1/2 its bread. I ate the darn thing,...

Today: I am back in the area and found my way to go to Galen for the Wednesday lunch special. I had a lot of lunch and dinner and it was the best meal I had in 2021. Amazing food, generous portions and a fair price. What can a country girl ask more in the heart? A year ago: If you ever find yourself in North Alabama, you should definitely stop from Galen's. I grew up on land cooking and this place is legit! Where is Cobbler considered vegetable? $22 for 2 people with a lot to take home for dinner!!!! Please, for Stephanie. She is a treasure and will make sure you take care of yourself well, including giving you a drink to go.
I had the best breakfast I've had in a long time. The biscuit and gravy were delicious, the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly, and while the bacon was prepared a bit crispier than usual, I actually prefer it that way. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The service is beyond wonderful. Coffee is always fresh and refills without having to ask. Eggs were cooked perfectly overlight with great bacon and biscuits with gravy.
I have the country ham egg and cheese sandwich that was great. her country ham has excellent taste. we stopped on the way to the cathedrale caverns that was great.
