My son expressed his desire for a restaurant that wasn't too fancy or too casual. It's always a challenge to gather grown-up sons for celebrations when they are spread out, especially when you're unfamiliar with the restaurants in Leeds. After scrolling for hours and exchanging options, we finally settled on Gallery 41, which happened to have a 20% off deal on all food for certain days in November - perfect for N's birthday. After a long journey and a chilly afternoon at Kirkstall Abbey, we were ready to eat, and boy, did we eat well. The menu has been updated since our last visit, now offering more mainstream options as well as a kids menu. The prawn cocktail was delicious, and the pasta was surprisingly good, even though it's not something I typically order. Everything tasted freshly made, and they still offer a 'mini' dessert option to enjoy with a coffee after indulging in a starter and main course. This is a fantastic restaurant for dining out during the week or for a special occasion.
The food is excellent but the service lets it down a little. We were a group of 14 so it was difficult for the staff but one of our table was missed out and had to wait for his starter while everyone was eating and drinks service was slow and not organised. That said the food is top drawer and I will visit again In a smaller group
they simply come from our first visit in the gallery 41 to the house and we are very impressed. the place is beautiful with a beautiful ambiente and eating is wonderful. beautiful waitress, on which nothing was too annoying and a really nice atmosphere. this will not be our last visit
my first visit to my partner, the restaurant was immaculate and immediately had a calm presence. Most of the staff were exceptional and the customer service was from all who served us, eating was absolutely amazing to say in a fussy eater and was quickly made and brought out. 10/10!
absolutely excellent small local restaurant. the prices are more reasonable than elsewhere where I have been in leeds, and this is coupled to the excellent quality of food. the personal is friendly and the service is fast. would definitely recommend it.
We adore Gallery41 so much that we always select it for our community birthdays, and we are never let down. Yesterday, I celebrated my 71st birthday there with my husband and friends, and it was, as always, a fantastic evening.
fantastic tasting eating to reasonable trips! beautiful interieur to and friendly staff, especially the waiter who was clearly very new, but super friendly and polite! will come back
Friendly staff and decently priced. Some vegan options avaliable, would have liked more to choose from. However, the pasta I had was simple yet delicious!
