We were on holiday not far from Quimper and decided to try and find an Indian restaurant. Thinking this would be nigh on impossible, we found two - and after comparing menus, opted for this one. We were there for Take Away, so no comment can be made regarding service, however we were very pleasantly surprised with the freshness and flavour combinations. A good example was a Spinach and Cheese dish, Palak Paneer. We've lived in Quimper for a long time and lamented the fact that there's no really "great" Indian restaurants. We'd always seen Le Gandhi and never really thought to go in, we assumed it was like many of the other establishments in Quimper, disappointing and a bit of a let-down. When we moved in around the corner, we visited once and it became a staple of our "going-out" meals! The naan's are superb, the menu is simple but all the dishes are excellent. We now go about once a month and enjoy it immensely! Highly recommended here on TripAdvisor and delighted to add our opinion. Take it from me, as an Irish resident in Quimper, this is the best Indian in town.
Bonjour, To be precise I visited Le Gandhi Restaurant 42 times during my stay in Quimper. I had lunch/dinner in many hotels but this is one of the best restaurant in Brittany. I strongly recommend to visit this restaurant because you will find a very good treatment from the owners, variety of food items & great taste. They have right & beautiful combination of Indian & European food taste. You will find very good ambient, peace & cleanliness while having your lunch/dinner. It was a great feeling.My rating for this restaurant is 5 out of 5.
Our shared dishes of Indian food were tasty, although we are used to it a bit more spicy/hot than what was served which I think is adjusted for French tastes. That said the dishes were finely spiced and very tasty. It was good for a change of cuisine, and the waitress was efficient but friendly, and spoke good English which was helpful. The place became quite busy shortly after we got there (fairly early) and a number of people came in to pick up takeaways.

On a recent visit to Finistere France, we visited the Gandhi Restaurant in Quimper on two occasions, expecting the usual European bland curry experience, BUT SURPRISE! The food was excellent, with very friendly English speaking staff. Great service with as smile, in a fantastic City, well worth a visit.
We recently visited Quimper and were pleasantly surprised to find this Indian restaurant. It is a small family run restaurant and the food was just great. We are an Indian family and we really rate this place and it is well worth a visit if you are in the region and are in need of some good food.

Indian is my favourite cuisine, and the food is really great there. Service is excellent, but the portions of rice are a little bit too small to my taste. Rest-room could be refurbished a little.

We found this restruarant on Trip Advisor. For people that like/love Indian food, this is a must. Excellent food, great service and the waitress speaks English.
Visited twice during a week's holiday to the region - it was that good. Excellent authentic food and excellent service.
