We have visited the gardeners on many occasions always had home cooked food and friendly service the owners were lovely . It’s now under new management we didn’t realise we went in it was empty the table was sticky I asked the lady to wipe it she didn’t . Then we asked for two lattes they said we only do instant coffee. We then asked for soup with a baguette we asked if they could do a barn instead as it’s softer to eat . They said they couldn’t because barms were bigger I asked for bread she said no . My friend and I have been eating lunch at the pub for about 12 months. The food is home cooked on the premises and the quality and variety of the menu is excellent. My friend is vegetarian and she is pleased with the veggie choices too. The service is excellent. The owners are always very welcoming. At the outset of Covid 19 the pub was closed, however they offered a delivery service twice a week. This was a life saver for me because I could not get a supermarket delivery so it was great to have my food delivered to my door. After hearing great reviews about the food, my family and I decided to try this restaurant. We were advised to make a reservation for Sunday, as it tends to get busy. We arrived a little early and were greeted by a friendly woman named Sue. She showed us to our table and took our drink orders. The cozy atmosphere with a blazing coal fire was a nice touch, especially on a cold day. The food was nothing short of amazing. Everything was fresh, and the homemade Yorkshire puddings were a favorite. The staff was attentive and made us feel welcome. Thank you, Sue and the rest of the team, for a wonderful afternoon. We will definitely be returning soon.
I went to this restaurant with my family and friends, and everyone loved their food. Everything was homemade and delicious. We all shared our dishes and enjoyed trying each other's meals. The chips were especially good. The pub has a cozy atmosphere and the staff are friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this place.

Really good find. The home made pies were served with a nice selection of veg and hand cooked chips. The music choice was background disco, loud enough to enjoy and quiet enough to ignore. It was much quieter for a Sunday lunch than it should have been given the local competition. The Jennings Head Space was a very nice pint too.
We knew nothing about the Gardeners Arms and called in because we needed a quick lunch. I’m so glad we did. It was simple, wholesome food well cooked and tasty. The pub was clean and tide=y, very welcoming with a warm fire on a cold day. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Once again, the food was delicious and gluten-free. The kids menu was great, and the special sauce was a standout. The staff were lovely and attentive. Overall, I would rate this cozy pub with a log fire a perfect 10/10.

Went for lunch. Food was spot on:hot,tasty and delicious. Staff were lovely and friendly too. Would definitely recommend.
We held a gathering here after Mum's funeral. They could not have been kinder or more accommodating.
