Garfish - Kirribilli

Offering cafe food with an interesting menu, BTB are filling a gap in the market by offering dishes that are focused on the use of native Australian ingredients. Located in the stunning Harbourside suburb of Kirribilli just below the Sydney Harbour Bridge, hence ‘BTB’. Most of the seating is inside in a darkened space but full of customers happily enjoying their brekkie. We sit outside with our pram and puppy and efficiently served but the fun and friendly staff. Drove 1 1/2 hours, waited 40 mins for table we had booked. No drinks offered while waiting. Plenty of free tables, so why did we wait so long. Food was dry and tasteless, salad limp and soaked in vinegar. Chips were cold. Waitress tried to take drinks that werent finished. Left hungry and dissappointed. The writeups on this place are false and obviously are written by family and friends cos you get better food and service in a pub for a third of the price than you get here. My advice, walk by and go somewhere else, dont waste your time or money here.

Nice little cafe close to the station. Very basic menu, not a great deal to choose from. Granola was a little on the drier side for me, I personally like a bit more yoghurt, but the flavours were all there. The eggs toast were great, especially the char on the toast, fantastic. Coffee was average, happy enough with it. Staff were very friendly attentive, was quite pleased with the service. The style of the cafe was quite nice, the darker colours inside made it more of a pleasant dine in experience, soothing on the eyes.

I recently organised a group booking of 30 at Garfish and it was a great success. From the start of my enquiry to the actual event, the staff at Garfish were easy and professional to deal with. The multi-choice menu was excellent value; the food delicious; and the service friendly and efficient. Collection of monies on the night for a large group was made easy by management. Greeted by a very friendly waitress and looked after us perfectly all evening. She recommended the Snapper Pie which was delicious ! The side of brussel sprouts was very tasty although could have had more seasoning. I ordered the mixed oysters for my entree and my preferred on the plate was the natural oysters. The garnishes that came with them had intense flavours which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Really awesome brunch food salmon and soba noods were delicious, ploughmans brekky was quite good. If you’re still feeling hungry then you can’t go wrong with fries

Grab a cup of long black right before starting the Sydney Harbour bridge walk. A stop to go to if u like coffee… it is normally packed with locals during weekend.
