I visited Gargiulo's for the first time and had a lovely experience thanks to the wonderful owners—a father, son, and daughter—who were incredibly kind. The wait staff was exceptional, although our specific server missed the mark. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The outdoor area was beautifully decorated for the fall season, adding a festive touch. I would definitely return and recommend this charming place to my foodie friends. I came here for our rehearsal dinner, we had the upstairs room and I haven’t had this good of Italian food in a while. The baked clams, the rice balls, the burrata salad, the rack of lamb, the chicken piccata, the flourless chocolate cake, the tiramisu. I could go on! It was all delicious, dinner came out hot to everyone (about 12 ppl) and we had such a great time. The staff is also wonderful and friendly. This was my first time here and we will definitely come again! Valet parking is definitely a plus, especially in really bad weather. Our reservation was honored promptly, and the service was excellent without being intrusive—we never felt rushed. I highly recommend the Garguilio salad. The bread and focaccia were fantastic. My dining companion really enjoyed the chicken piccata. I was a bit disappointed with the veal chop, though. The graham cracker gelato was a hit, as was my affogato. The drinks were generously sized as well. I will definitely be back.
Fabulous food. Nicely presented. Desert and capuccino spot on. Atmosphere nice. 4 stars because of a wait staff issue which should not happen in a place of this caliber we made the owner aware in a polite way . That said I will 100% be back again. The food was absolutely amazing! The wine selection is impressive! The service was excellent! Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 for a fantastic dining experience.
The best Italian food and atmosphere you can find in Monmouth County! The service is exceptional, and the family that owns the restaurant is fantastic. I give it a perfect 10 out of 10!
