Klein, ruhig und freundlich, ich war für 4 Tage in Hallstatt und obwohl der Ort wunderschön ist, waren die Restaurants bestenfalls mittelmäßig. An meinem letzten Abend hier waren wir auf der Suche nach einem Ort, an dem wir ein schönes Essen einnehmen konnten, um meinen Geburtstag zu feiern Geburtstag des Partners. Nun, das ist ... was ich gesucht habe ... es ist kein gutes Essen, es ist nicht einmal etwas Besonderes, aber das Lokal ist genau das Richtige. Der Besitzer ist ein wirklich freundlicher (Englisch sprechender) Mann und die gemütliche, komfortable Atmosphäre ist genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Es ist eine Art Pizza- oder Pasta-Restaurant, aber lassen Sie sich davon nicht abschreck...

Small, quiet and friendly, I stayed in Hallstatt for 4 days and even though the place is beautiful the restaurants were at best mediocre.......my last night here we were looking for somewhere to have a lovely meal to celebrate my partners birthday. Well this is...what I was looking for.....it's not fine dining it's not even that special but the place is spot on. The owner is a really friendly (English speaking) man and the cosy comfortable atmosphere is what I was looking for......it's pizza or pasta type of place but don't let that put you off. Set in a back street alleyway it's off the beaten path and just what we needed to unwind from a day taking in the sights. Wish we'd found this place...
I was in Hallstatt just recently with friends. Following TripAdvisor, we came to this place. First, the cafe starts working only from 4 pm, if you come at 4:15 the waiter will right from the door tell you into face, without any greeting, that "You will have to wait for at least 30 mins"..ok.. You seat and wait for the menu for about 30 mins. there is only one person serving all the table. I was very hungry, so I ask him to please bring the menu, and do you know what he said : "Don't you see, I AM WORKING!" That was the rudest person I have ever seen. And no, he didn't bring the menu, so we just left. this place doesn't case about clients.

My wife and I were looking for a change from Austrian food so settled on pizza. Although it was a little cool that night we chose to sit on the patio (as cold pizza is still good!) and we're the only ones eating outside. The restaurant is noted to have a smoking section so that added to our chose to sit out. I had a look inside and it is very much a local eatery/bar. The server (owner?) was attentive and the pizza choice was good. We each enjoyed the pizzas we had but were too full for dessert after. There is no lake view from Gasthaus Muhle but watching the local children running up and down the alleyways was entertaining.
We had last meal in Hallstatt at this place. After we climbed up a little bit, we saw pretty nice view. However, the food was just okay. Food: My SpatzeL Gemischt, too salty; my husband ordered Cannelloni, as he stayed in Italy for over three years, he knew what is a Cannelloni, what the waiter served was definitely not a Canneloni, maybe Austrian version?? It was flat like a floppy pancake with melted cheese on it.Service: The only waiter spoke English, friendly, fairly quick service. Price: Food as I mentioned above plus two beer, 21€, I have to say it is a little cheaper than those cafe/restaurants along the main road.
We orded two pizzas to share between the three of us. The waiter bought out two and was very friendly and then came back with a third and left immediately. When we had the chance to let him know we had only ordered two he abruptly told us that we had ordered three and he could pack it for us to take with us. There was no way he could have thought we ordered three and the way he gave us the third one was very planned.
Un posto davvero carino, consigliato per gli amanti dei posti tranquilli con quel tocco di antichità. Si mangia bene e il proprietario è una persona davvero squisita e disponibile!! Avevamo due cani di taglia medio/grande e nessuno ha fatto problemi!Consigliatissimo il pine schnaps!!

A nossa intenção era uma pizza, mas achamos mais saudável uma bela sopa, por sinal, bem saborosa. O atendimento foi tipicamente austríaco, frio, mas bem atencioso nos pedidos. Estávamos sozinhos no ambiente, mas na sala ao lado estavam várias pessoas numa animação só.
