Die Speisekarte war typisch österreichisch, was mir gefiel, leider war das, was serviert wurde, weit entfernt von typisch für das Land. Mein eigenes Baurenschmause war gerade akzeptabel, aber das Rindsgulasch war eine totale Schande zu ca. £14 pro Person für meine Frau und Schwester. Das Fleisch war Rindfleisch aus der Keule, was kein Problem ist, wenn es lange genug gekocht wird, was in diesem Fall nicht der Fall war, was bedeutete, dass es einfach nicht durchgekaut werden konnte, da es so zäh wie Leder war. Went to the Batzenhäusl with my mom when visiting the famous Seefeld Schneefest, which is a must-see if you are in the area. The place is close to the village center and looks like any of the cosy, old-style Tyrolean places up and down the...pedestrian zone. Since it was the middle of the skiing season in January, the place was packed with tourists (no surprise here) and the live music was certainly matching the crowd... What I really couldn't accept was the quality of the meals. We both had something deep-fried (one Cordon Bleu, one Backhendlsalat) and, while the meat was OK, the breading smelled and tasted so fishy that one wonders when they last changed their frying oil.
We highly recommend Andy, the musician who plays in Batzenhäusl. He is very talented, sings and plays a variety of instruments, among which are saxophone, clarinet and pan flute. His repertoire is excellent and he creates a great lively and joyful atmosphere. Without him, a...holiday in Seefeld would not be the same as there is no other place offering such good quality entertainment music. We went there every day and enjoyed very much. The only problem is that in January he plays only three nights instead of the whole week! What a pity! We hope for our next holiday in Seefeld to hear him every night in Batzenhausl! First dinner in Seefeld. Front rooms do not have music'. Back rooms do, we unsuspectingly choose the back rooms. One man band singing cover versions of old pop songs. Not top tier, but jolly and people were dancing. Good range of Austrian food and good...prices. Service was haphazard and a bit slow. There one minute and then gone. Enjoyed the food. Able to pay by credit card.

Average seems a harsh score sometimes, but if it isn't bad and doesn't stand out, I guess average is what it is. Good place to watch the world go by. Some good service, some not so. Food was what you would expect from this style...of venue in these parts. Not fantastic...not bad...wouldn't object to dining there again.
Wir haben Mittagessen an diesem wirklich wunderschönen Ort mit einem typisch traditionellen Stil und einer sehr guten Essensqualität gehabt. Freundlicher Service, perfektes Menü und Ambiente. Danke für den guten Service.
Came here because we read on Trip Advisor that the goulash soup here is very good and were not disappointed Lucky to be able to sit outside in the sunshine on December 27th and watch the skiers..
Wir sind aufgrund der wunderschönen sonnigen Terrasse dort geblieben, haben jedoch keine signifikante Qualität in dem Geschmack gefunden. Der Service war kühl. Wir empfehlen es nicht.

at the bottom of the beer menu it is a top selling point - a house beer! eating is also really good, here eaten twice and both meals were well cooked and well worth.
