I had a room with a single bed (Einzelzimmer . Often, this type of room is quite small or narrow. But this was not the case. It was a nice room with a big balcony, had beautiful wooden elements and it was very clean and comfortable. Good matrass too. The room was located at the street side, but there was not much traffic, so that did not bother me. I recommend you choose half pension. I did not try the vegetarian options this time,...
Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Gasthof Schmirl in Puchberg im September 2023. Das Hotel liegt in fußläufiger Entfernung zum Bahnhof und zur Schneebergbahn. Was mir am meisten gefallen hat, ist die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber. Barbara behandelte alle wie alte Freunde. Der Ort selbst war sehr gemütlich und sauber. Die Terrasse ist ein schöner Ort zum Entspannen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten waren komfortabel. Das Frühstück war absolut brillant, hausgemachte Marmeladen so gut, Sie können nicht aufhören zu essen. Wir hatten auch Abendessen im Restaurant und das Essen war sehr lecker. Ausgezeichneter Aufenthalt und ich hoffe, ich kann zurück.
Simple Austrian comfort. The rooms were comfortable and quite spacious. The food served (breakfast dinner simple, but delicious. (However, only cold food served during breakfast. Hosts very friendly, attentive and caring. The only drawback poor sound isolation. Noise from the street as well as inside of the hotel woke us up early every morning.
we had nice weekend in this place. Friendly hosts, but most magical was garden. Well planned garden, with some hidden spot, reaching to mini stony beach next to narrow stream and ofcourse ringing cow bells during night makes garden even more magical!

I will be definitely returning to this place. Rooms were adequate and comfortable, and family Schimrl were very nice to us. They surpriced us with fluent english, and kindly served us at the restaurant : 10/10
