I am very disappointed with this place as they hardly make any effort to ensure that the Paninis' are fresh and tasty. I work around the corner so sadly this is one of the very few decent options we have in the area. I have...been there yesterday and once again the bread was not fresh and the tomato not properly cleaned in the middle (didn't take off the green thing). Poor quantity of Ingredients too as a filling.Also the Prices keep going up and down and the staff changes very frequently. If anywhere deserves to be a huge success it’s here. It has a quaintness to it. Go in and you feel like you have been transported to a deli/cafe in a small Italian town. The staff are charming and friendly. Food is excellent. The pizza...is just the best I have tasted outside of Italy. The toppings are fresh and delicious. I’m told the pasta is equally worthy of praise. Accompanied by a chilled glass of house white, It’s a lovely place to go for a casual drink and meal. Wapping is a great destination and I would strongly recommend a stop off at Gastronomica
So I came to this restaurant to get some cheep standard Italian cuisine while waiting for my bus to amsterdam, and I would like to say that it does an extremely good work. When I came in, there was only one other table in the restaurant, and so it was during my stay, but our waitress and bartender and busser and everything was very helpful. the service was excellent, and she was thrilled. I have to say that I have also enjoyed their service and eating! I have a tagliatelle al funghi porcini and my friend has the parmagiana. both were extremely great!
After we read a few travel advisors commentary, we thought we would do it a little unfortunately the one worker could not speak or understand English, maybe because he did not take his headphones out when talking to us, a menu might have helped...how good! we ended up with what we were told, was a traditional Italian breakfast cold meat and it was ok, but not really what we were after
I popped in here this week just for a coffee to pass some time and what a wonderful friendly reception i received. Nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable welcoming and a super place to drink coffee and chill. Sorry I didn't have enough time to...eat it looked delicious.
if you want to sit in a quiet place with some nice music, have delicious dinner / lunch with quality products and meet some really friendly people this is their place! we go every other week and usually order the special of the day. (pasta) and it's just amazing!
We made a stop here during our visit in London while walking along the Thames. They offered us tasty italian coffee and delicious nutella cake that actually made my day! We recommend it for you to visit!
This is a local cafe and although the plumbing is basic, the place is spotless. Coffee great and the authentic Italian food is totally moreish.
I have been there with my Executive chef to taste the amazing italian product. Very kindly staff. We bought some fresh veg and wine bottle.
