After a hike of about 8.5 kilometers, we unfortunately found out that the restaurant is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the summer holidays and in the middle of the holiday season. Since you cannot use the telephone or the internet in the Schwarzwassertal, there was no way to (spontaneously) find out about the opening times during the hike. I can understand that there are business reasons behind this decision. However, closed restaurants do not make the Ore Mountains any more attractive.
We slept here one night on our hike along the ridge path. We received a very warm welcome and although the restaurant is officially only open on weekends, there is of course something to eat for pension guests every day if they want to. We got incredibly delicious schnitzel with fried potatoes in the evening and a classic breakfast with extra rolls in the morning, so that we also had provisions for the upcoming hike. Rooms: 5
Wir waren für eine Nacht Pensionäre und schon am frühen Nachmittag vor Ort. Obwohl die Gaststätte nur an Wochenenden geöffnet hat, haben wir als Hausgäste unser Getränk serviert bekommen und konnten draußen in der Sonne sitzen. Zum Abendessen hatten wir die Wahl zwischen klassischen Gerichten, und das Essen war super lecker. Die Gastgeberin ist herzlich und entspannt, und das Zimmer ist sehr gemütlich. Zimmer: 5
