Tonight I ordered 4 regular gyros with 4 sides of fries through Grubhub. The gyros were delivered without the fries. I called the restaurant about the missing fries, and they promised to deliver them. Almost an hour later, I still had no fries. When Idrove to the restaurant to get the fries, a HUGE RAT ran out from behind the stove and then ran right back behind it while thecook was fixing the fries! When I told the cook what I saw, he didn't even react, so I don't think he was surprised. I was sodisgusted that I threw away my food without eating it. I used to adore the food here, but now I can't ever eat here again. ????
Went here for dinner. Looking at the place, ordered to-go. The place was unkempt and looked shabby. I wanted to get chicken kebabs, sadly those were not available. Had to settle for a spicy medium Lamb and Chicken Shawarma plate. When I asked what the difference was between small, medium and large plates, the only difference was more meat. Frankly, the food was just okay. The rice was decent, just as the chicken shawarma. The pita bread was soft too. The lamb sometimes smelled just as if it was old. I did not enjoy it. Will think about going back to the place.
This was my first and last time ordering at Gaters Restaurant in Fremont. Host was friendly but the food was terrible. Bread was stale, super dry and brittle. Hummus was oversalted. Falafel was under cooked. Fries were wet and soft. And the cucumbers were bitter. Have never had such a terrible experience with food anywhere. Had to throw away the food. I just hope my family doesn't fall sick. This place doesn't deserve even a single star. Also, the online menu prices are not updated, everything is costlier than what is specified. Stay away!
I don’t ever take the time to do a review I just don’t have the time. I do feel that this one is necessary and deserved. Hands-down this is the best Arabic food I’ve had in a long time everything is homemade fresh with fresh ingredients in front of your eyes. The workers are professional, courteous and friendly; they make feel welcome and right at home. This is a find! I will be happily coming back!!Parking: Plenty of Parking!

Is it the fanciest place in town? Probably not. But does it have more than meets the eye? Absolutely.Do yourself a favor and dine in. The food will be so much fresher and the fries and falafel will be crispy and hot. The gyros are stuffed with meat. The wraps are equally generous and come seared on both sides for an added crunch and warmth. If you don’t mind a lil extra flavor on your food, get it spicy! Absolute 10/10.
I visited this restaurant on a whim and ordered lamb gyros and fries. It wasn't until after I had placed my order that I noticed how dirty the kitchen was. The cook had fried the fries in extremely dark oil and hadn't washed his hands before handling my food. The pita bread was undercooked and soggy, and the lamb was overcooked and had a bad taste. I ended up throwing the food away and would not recommend dining here.
Ridiculously expensive, double check your order before leaving because they WILL rip you off. We ordered a gyro with extra meat which they charge additional $6 for ?????????????? and they conveniently forgot. When we asked them about it, the people behindthe counter looked at each other and smirked. You could tell they had he ohh we got caught look but they didn?t care. No wonderthis place is always empty.

The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly and the food is delicious. I ordered the combo plate and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size, despite ordering a small plate. It had been 10 years since my last visit, but I have since returned and am glad that this restaurant has remained in business, as many others in the area have closed.
My Favorite Mediterranean spot on the east bay. I actually have driven all the way from SF multiple times for their Combo meat spicy Gyro! You can't beat it!Food: 5/5
