I understand that running a restaurant is a tough business. However, that doesn't change the fact that our other jobs are challenging as well. Unfortunately, this was the worst food presentation and preparation I've ever encountered. They simply dumped the food into a box and sent it out. The rice was disproportionately larger than the other items listed on the menu, just piled on top to create the illusion of larger portions. I barely saw four pieces of pickle and only three strands of chicken. The only reason I gave them a second star is that my little brother somehow liked the shawarma, even though it looked like a mushy ball. We had a wonderful time during our visit! The food was expertly prepared and served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. The owner was present and stopped by our table several times to ensure we were having a great experience. I ordered the gyro and was thrilled to find my favorite fast food item transformed into a truly gourmet dish. It was packed with flavor and offered a delightful mix of unique condiments and textures. The owner also recommended we try the Turkish coffee, and despite the hot summer afternoon, I absolutely loved this delicious drink that was new to me. I'm excited to return and explore more of this fantastic menu!
The gyros here are delicious! However, it was by far the most expensive and messiest lunch I've ever experienced. I ordered a single gyro and ended up paying $13 for just four slices of lamb/gyro meat, a slice of cucumber, a bit of onion, and a couple of pieces of lettuce. Most of the tzatziki ended up on the wrapper, leaving enough on the outside to drench two wrappers and make a mess on my desk. There were no fries or drink included. I might consider returning, but definitely not for lunch!

This is a truly human-centered restaurant, where soft Sinatra tunes play in the background, making it easy to forget you’re in Clive, Iowa, with the outside world hidden behind frosted windows. I'm so glad we chose to dine here today and had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful host. We enjoyed the Chicken Shawarma, salad, and falafel, all of which were delicious. I've eaten twice here. Excellent meals both times. prefer the hummus via the babaghanoush personally, just a texture thing. Both taste good. The chips are amazing trying them out. Fair prices, friendly staff and the owner seems really nice and cares for the customers.

Gazali’s is the best Mediterranean food in the metro area! The owner MJ and the rest of the staff are amazing and the food is top notch. Highly recommend everything on the menu especially the hummus, gyro plates and salads.
